Hi! Here's some old drawings of a Basigan fankid I did a few years ago :D if I remember right her full name was Angélic, but they call her Annie.

-First, remember that Ratigan called himself a 'big mouse'? Well, Annie's a small rat, and many years later she gets a sister (Hazel) who's an actual big mouse and is definitely much smaller than Ratigan is sjdfks
>She's got sharp teeth and sharp claws and overall looks like a rat but tiny (but still bigger than most mice when she's older)
>I had the thought of making her a trans girl so she's mentioned as 'he' in some drawings but then I thought maybe just make her cis and masc or something - but I guess it's not established yet sjdkf
-Huuh trans Basil. I remember reading a fic with a similar premise (I mean, about his gender) where he wasn't exactly trans but I loved it so much. This ship got some really good fics fr
>Anyway so, he finds out -they've got a 'rivals with benefits' kind of relationship (i love that kind)- and Ratigan immediately says the most obvious course of action is to get married, and Basil's like ?? and the rest of his friends are like ??? and Ratigan's minions are like ???? but they get married.
>Then Annie's born and looks like newborn rats do and she's ugly as hell bc she's hairless and looks like she needed some more time cooking
>It was Basil's first time seeing a newborn™ kit and he was.. a bit grossed out
>Also baby mice are small small and baby rats are obviously much bigger and Annie was a big baby but not enough to be 'rat-big' and be too much of a problem (i remember reading a fic of fem Basil and Ratigan where she died bc obviously her body wasn't made to give birth a too big baby pipipi pretty cool of a story tho, they had a girl who was a rat too and i think Ratigan resented their daughter for 'killing' Basil ?)

-Also y'know about Mary? Dr. Watson's wife I think - I made a lady mouse to be Dawson's wife and they adopt a girl named Molly, and her and Annie are best 'cousins'.

Here's an ancient piece of fan art I did for The Great Mouse Detective nearly like 20 years ago. Back when before people finally realized the strong "bitter exes" vibe Basil and Ratigan gave off, and when shipping them felt like being in the driest of deserts with no water.
