I think the difference between Shawn and Camila and 5sos’ stunts is that S&C are both really famous and it always feels off when someone who’s been in the same circles for a while suddenly falls in love and goes from friends to lovers. It’s hard not to think it’s for PR purposes on both sides also cause it’s been super public from the beginning. The girls around 5sos are nobodies in Hollywood and in the music industry (messy too) so I guess it helps people think they’re real relationships.

You may a fair point, Nonnie.  It’s amazing how the stans don’t recognize the obvious patterns with the stunts Modest pull.  ALL of them are specifically timed around new music releases, promo or tour so as to generate the most talk/press.  

The video Shawn and Camilla released was so painful to watch.

I've just read someone on twitter saying "crystal, kaykay and sierra are beautiful, we stan because we support 5sos and whoever they want to be with" girl.. I'm here for the music I don't care about their girlfriends as long as they don't get in the way 😂

Thinking they are beautiful and being supportive of a relationship is fine.  Idolizing them, preaching their “perfection” to the world and praising them every time they take a breath is WAY over the top.

Oh, absolutely!  Messy might have a few stragglers who want to hang onto their queen for a bit but I bet the hate will be almost instantaneous.  If only the day would come sooner than later.

Of course the 'sticking up for my girlfriend' bullshit has to be mentioned in the new interview from Canada. 🙄 Interesting how they talk about negative publicity often being the best & getting people talking about the band. Clearly talking about the beards & the 'toxic' relationships!!! Btw Luke looks absolutely exhausted again....

Did they really have to bring the beards up AGAIN in yet another interview?  Why oh why must they always talk about them?  Focus on the guys and their music please!

I noticed how Luke is wearing that chain choker again. Maybe it DOES symbolise his beard being... well, keeping him in chains... as in her personal fame booster.

I've thought for several months that the guys wearing chains symbolized them being shackled and unable to escape.

It seems to fit more and more now, doesn't it?

whats your opinion on 5secondsofsummertheories bc Mia (the girl who runs it) doesn’t believe messy and crustal are beards but thinks they’re Pr and she just went off on anon who tried to say they’re real

I agree with Mia in that Lemon and Crikey are PR.  I don’t understand why she persists in believe that Kraken is real.  They almost have less chemistry together than Lemon (if that’s even possible).  There are many, many people out there who will not acknowledge, or even consider the possibility, that any of the boys may be queer.  For this reason, Mia will not entertain the fact that any of them may be beards.

'Shawmila' was deemed as PR pretty quickly by both respective fanbases (small part or not) but here in 5sos land, people worship the beards... just a thought.

I truly will never understand the beard worship.  It truly boggles the mind.
