Well, I’ve ended this stupid year with a pleasant watercolor based on a photo my dad took on vacation: beargrass in the northern Rockies. I’m envious, so this is how I lived vicariously. Considering how long my watercolor hiatus has been, this turned out pretty well (especially since hot press paper is tricky for landscapes and I didn’t bring my masking fluid!)

Watercolors in question are from Winsor & Newton and Beam paints, the latter of which I got recently and love using so far! Highly recommended, and I’m already planning which paints I want to add next!
