💖 - A ship that needs more love 

Gilly/Sam! Though Sam just needs more love in general, honestly. I know their relationship isn’t entirely unproblematic (their one time together was dub.con, at best, and left Sam suicidal so??) but all that guilt is over his honor, and how desperately he wants Gilly so. I ship it. I mean: “I would sooner have you than any princess…, but I can’t”. C’mon! 

Sidenote: someone give me Sam and Jon meeting again after Oldtown and discussing their guilt over their forbidden loves? PLEASE. 

💢 - Ship that is most misunderstood.

Dany/Jon has this reputation for being cliche and tropey, but I don’t think it will play out that way at all (…in the books. It will be tropey as fuck on the show). Also Dany deserves her “one to love” ok?? It’s not going to be love at first sight, but I don’t think it’s going to be a strictly political match either. This will play into the bittersweet thing Martin has promised, I’m sure of it.

91. “I think they’ve learned their lesson, you can stop hitting them now…”

“You can stop, you’ve done enough.” Theon repeated more loudly still. The old bear didn’t move from his position, crouched over the prone body. The disgraced knight’s fists fell in a pattern, each punch digging deeper than the last. The man who had insulted the would-be Queen was already unconscious, and by Theon’s reckoning, already nearing death. 

Still the Mormont hit. Still his fists fell. Theon flinched as the second crack hit his ears, and the memories flashed behind his eyes. He knew the sounds, he knew how they felt. He wasn’t so far along as to have forgotten Ramsay’s fists like two great bear paws, knuckles digging into muscle, crushing bone. He felt the pain in his hip and his ribs, the way his heartbeat quickened as time around him seemed to slow. His breath caught in his throat, ragged, and then quickened to a rapid pant.

He lunged forward without thinking, and his three fingers tightened around Jorah’s shoulder. Bodily, he pulled him away from the bloody mess that once had been a man’s face. He could hear the rush of water around his ears although they were far from the sea; he tasted salt on his lips, smelled blood in the air as his body shook. 

“Enough,” he yelled, voice cracked and far away, as distant as his own homeland. “Enough.”
