We don't really get to see Inosuke grieving Kyojuro, we get a small moment in Entertainment District of him thinking back on that day, but he thinks about it way more than we are shown. Kyojuro's death haunted him just as it haunted Tanjiro. How do I know?

Douma vs. Kanao and Inosuke

We all remember how he perked up when he saw Kyojuro starting to cut through Akaza's neck, but he didn't move until Tanjiro yelled at him, snapping him out of his thoughts. He was going in for the decapitation and Akaza broke away, causing Inosuke to miss the opportunity to kill him. And then suddenly after this long battle with Kanao against Douma Inosuke finds himself in that same situation.

Kanao is losing mobility and strength because of the ice, Inosuke is once again, too far away, and this time he's also injured. And it isn't shown, but I know Inosuke was reminded of the battle with Akaza, of standing there frozen seeing Kyojuro trying to cut through Akaza's neck, he relives that exact same moment but this time he does something different:

He assists. And he does it completely on his own. Instead of trying to go in for the kill himself he takes a risk and throws his niichirin swords, leaving himself unarmed, to push Kanao's through Douma's neck. It is such a small call back to the Akaza v. Kyojuro fight, but it really shows that Inosuke truly learned what it meant to work as a team and that he learned from the events of Akaza and Kyojuro's fight. They didn't need to spell out Inosuke's rebellion against seeing those events unfold again, Inosuke didn't say anything during this scene, he didn't need to, he showed how he changed and grew and how Kyojuro's death and his helplessness impacted him. Giyuu spoke about how Tanjiro had changed and grown but we didn't need that for Inosuke, he showed it in this fight and especially in this final scene of that battle.
