“Honey, I’m home!” you announce, shutting the doorbehind you. When you don’t hear a response you find it strange, but notunusual; Hank is probably just busy working in your at-home lab in thebasement. You’ve a long day at work and all you want to do is order take outand settle on the couch with your boyfriend for a comfy night in. “Hank!”You call out as you sift through the different menus. “I thought I askedyou to—” Your breath is cut off when you turn to see that Hank is alreadythere. What has stopped your breathing is not his presence, but the fact thathe’s kneeling with a little black box in his hands.

“Y/N,” he starts, a wide grin spreading throughhis features after seeing your reaction. “I’ve made a lot of mistakes inmy life— forgetting to put to dishes away included, but if I did anything rightin my life, it was falling in love with you,” His fingers only fumble alittle bit when he opens the box to reveal a shiny ring. “Y/F/N, will youmarry me?”

You nod your head enthusiastically as you let out the breathyou’d been holding in, your warm breath escaping through your fingers.Stretching out your left hand, the other stays clasped over your mouth as youtry to keep yourself from tackling him to the ground. He’s barely just slid thering over your finger when you attack his face with kisses, leaving no inch ofhis face out.

“I love you,” you whisper, pressing your lips tohis and you’re both smiling into the kiss like two idiots who fell in love andnever out of it.

Taking your hand inhis, he can’t help admiring how perfect the ring looks on your finger, andthinking about how he can hardly wait to see a gold band to go with it.

Hopelessly - Gikwang

(Admin: babyboiii, this wasn't good sorry it was like 2 am)

You are just a stylist, Gikwang was nice to you because it’s work. That’s what you keep telling yourself, but despite that, your heart still flutters when he smiles at you or thanks you for doing his hair and makeup. You wish you could just make it stop, you wish you could turn your emotions off because you know you’re just a stylist nothing more.

“Y’N, you’re still here,” Gikwang says with a smile walking into the room where you had been silently lost in thought for what felt like days, you break from your thought turning towards him, nodding softly, “you should get going, but it’s not safe for a woman to walk alone late at night,” he mumbles.

“I’ll be fine,” you mumble, putting away the last few brushes that were left on your counter and moving the hairspray back to its correct place.

“I’ll walk you, it’s not far from here,” Gikwang hurries out catching up to you, you shake your head.

“It’s fine really, Gikwang,” you mumble, he continues to walk beside you, your heart is racing in your chest.

“If something happened to you because I let you walk alone at night I wouldn’t forgive myself,” Gikwang whines.

“You’re an idol, it could cause a misunderstanding,” you mumble, trying to keep your feelings from talking and stay logical.

“I can always just tell them you’re my stylist it’s not a lie,” he mumbles, you let out a sigh it felt hopeless to try and reason with him.

“Fine,” you mumble stuffing your hands into your pockets, Gikwang smiles walking beside you.

The walk was mostly silent between the two of you, but your mind was racing with fears of being seen and fears of being with him alone. You bite the inside of your cheek softly, hoping your mind wouldn’t get too ahead of itself.

“We’re here,” you mumble, looking at the house behind the gate, Gikwang does the same.

“You have a really nice house,” Gikwang blurts out, “who all are you a stylist for,” you let out a laugh covering your mouth.

“I own a makeup line,” you explain opening the gate, “I’ll see you tomorrow Gikwang, thank you,” you bow slightly heading to your door.

“I knew she was too pretty to just be a stylist, but who knew she owns a makeup line, do you think she models for it too,” Gikwang rushes out sitting cross-legged across from Yoseob, who was mostly ignoring him.

“She doesn’t model for the brand, but she does own a store,” Junhyung jumps into the conversation, “she has had mamamoo model for her brand before,” Junhyung mumbles mindlessly.

“She’s so cool,” Gikwang mumbles scrolling through articles about you, “I thought she was just a stylist,” he mutters.

“She’s your stylist,” Yoseob mumbles not really knowing what Gikwang was talking about, “she only wants to be a stylist to us,” Yoseob mumbles still more focused on his computer than he is Gikwang, “Junhyung just dug through her Instagram for three days.”

“She’s talented,” Gikwang mumbles mindlessly, “I caught her singing one of our songs while she was cleaning the other day,” he says with a laugh, smiling fondly at the memory.

“Just say you like her already,” Junhyung complains, “that’s the only thing you’ve not said,” he tries to sound annoyed.

“I do like her, but I’m just her client, right?” He sighs, “I can’t be anything more to keep both of us safe.”

“Just date her if you want to,” Yoseob whines, “why do both of you sound so similar?”

A/N: Hank is just too cute not to get a Christmas drabble~ and this is what a bismuth crystal looks like

“Charles, you did not!” The cheeky grin hemaintains instead of giving you an actual explanation— not that you need one,because it doesn’t take a telepath to figure out how he did it, makes you allthe more frustrated. “I knew I felt something guiding my hand!”

“Well, love, as much as I have enjoyed this little chatwith you, we have a gift exchange to get to,” he says, the stupid grinnever leaving his face. You heave out a sigh and follow him out of the room.

“But Charles, why?” you whine, throwing your headback in despair.

“Because it’s about time the two of you stoppedbehaving like bumbling idiots every time the other person is in the room.”

Well… He’s notwrong…

Your crush on Hank has been the most obvious thing, and youthought since he never made a move, it meant he didn’t feel the same way, butjust like you, his crush on you was less than subtle— although you couldn’t seeit, despite it being tragically evident to everyone around you. Which madeworking in the lab together nearly impossible sometimes, but when you two had agood work flow going, he was just so easy to be around which made you fall thatmuch harder for him (and him for you).

Everyone is sitting in a circle, and there are only twogifts left to be exchanged, which makes it pretty obvious who they’re for.

“You go first,” you insist, pushing the neatlywrapped box towards him. He smiles shyly and begins to unwrap the present. Hissmile widens when he pulls out the folded white fabric and everyone encourageshim to try it on. “Your last lab coat got ruined in that accident a few weeks ago, so I made thisone as fire-proof as I could.”

“It fits perfect! Thank you,” he smiles at you,looking cute as ever in your gift. “Here’s yours.”

He places a small gift box in your hand. You untie theribbon, and open the box. “I-Is this—”

“Yeah, that’s what I was hiding from you in thelab,” he says sheepishly and can’t help the smile that spreads across yourfeatures. Everyone else invades your personal space to get a glimpse at thebeautiful bismuth crystal necklace Hank has made for you. Once they disperseand the party starts; food, music, and all. You and Hank stay standing there, facingeach other.

“Could you give me a hand?” You ask shyly holdingup the necklace. He nods and takes it from your hands, fumbling with the clasp.A light heat makes it way to your cheeks as you turn around so he can fix thepiece of jewellery around your neck. His fingertips brush your skin, sendingshivers down your spine, and you could be imagining it but they linger for a secondlonger than they have to. Spinning back to face him you offer him a slightlyawkward smile as you start feeling nervous. “Uh, thanks- i-it’sgorgeous.”

“You’re gorgeous,” he lets slip and his faceimmediately turns pink when he realizes what he’s said. “I meant thenecklace- i-it looks great on you— not to say that you’re not gorgeousb-but—”

Maybe this is your chance. After all, Charles did implyearlier that your feelings were returned. If he was wrong, you decide that he’llpay for it, but for now, it’s time for you to be brave.

“Hank,” you interrupt his nervous ramble and stepcloser to him, leaving only inches to separate your bodies.

“Y-Yeah,” he stutters, and you can’t help smilingat the way his glasses are starting to slip off of his nose.

Might as well. Youpush yourself to the tip of your toes, placing a hand on his shoulder to steadyyourself, and tug him down slightly so his lips can meet yours. He doesn’trespond immediately, but once he does, his hands set themselves on your sidesand your lips mould togetherperfectly.

When you pull back, Hank’s glasses are slightly crooked, helips are curved in a goofy love-struck grin, and everyone has stopped whatthey’re doing to stare at the two of you. Charlesis shooting you a shit-eating grin that says ‘I fucking told you so'— or maybeit’s actually his voice in your head saying that.

Somewhere in the background you hear Sean shout, “Tookyou long enough!”

Masterlist | New Year’s Drabbles

A/N: When I was searching for New Year’s prompt lists (and couldn’t settle on any), I did come across this prompt and laughed so hard I couldn’t not write it

The year is 1966— or at least it was when his lips first met yours. You've just opened your eyes to the brilliant fireworks illuminating the winter sky with every imaginable color, everyone around you is cheering and celebrating the New Year by kissing their own loved ones, and his face is still looming over yours, warm breath still clouding close to your lips. If you were to describe the perfect New Year's kiss with the man you love, this would be it. The moment is absolutely perfect. However, it would be more romantic if it wasn't CPR.

The people surrounding you are clapping because none other than Hank McCoy has just saved your life. You had both been planning on confessing your feelings for each other with the traditional New Year's kiss, unknown by the other person, but you'll take the kiss of life you suppose. His mouth moves, probably saying something along the lines of asking you if you're okay, but everything you hear is the equivalent of what Hank would see if he were to take his glasses off.

You try to get up in an attempt to salvage whatever dignity you may have left, only to be pushed back down by Hank. His hands hold you by your shoulders as he tells you that you shouldn't be exerting yourself. The faint sound of sirens getting closer can be heard and you figure that all sense of pride and dignity has been totally lost, so you latch your fingers onto the collar of Hank's shirt and pull his lips back down to yours.

The kiss is cut short by the medics wheeling you away into the ambulance and your left with the sight of Hank standing there, staring at you in shock with his glasses resting adorably crooked on his nose and his mouth slightly agape.

Flashing him a smile as the back doors are being closed, you think that you may be spending the first day to the New Year alone in the hospital, but before the latch clicks into place, the doors swing open and there's nothing getting in Hank's way as he pushes his way to you. He takes a seat next to your gurney and takes your hand in his, intertwining his long fingers through yours.

He has yet to properly place his glasses, but they'll just go crooked again anyways because he leans back down to press his lips to yours for the third time you're conscious for on this first day of the year. He couldn't not kiss you back on New Year's.

What a way to start 1967.

Lost - Junhyung

“Do you want me to call someone to come get you,” Junhyung said softly his index finger mindlessly wrapping strands of your hair around itself.

“Who would you call,” you muttered closing your eyes, “I only have you,” a few tears slid down your cheek while your mind went a million different directions trying to focus on anything.

“You remember,” he rested his hand on your head pulling your head closer to his thigh, “I’m sorry,” he choked out.

“Why didn’t you tell me,” you gripped the couch cushion, you sat up locking your eyes onto his.

“I was afraid you wouldn’t be able to handle-” you cut him off

“-because it was so much better for me to find out like this, right,” the image played through your head a few times over, “my Dongsang died and I couldn’t even remember him,” he shifted lifting a shaky hand to wipe tears that trailed down your cheeks.

“I lost my Noona you’re not the only one who was hurt,” he pulled you against his chest resting his head atop of your own.

“I’m sorry,” you choked out gripping his shirt your eyes were wide open, but you couldn’t see anything in the room around you all you could see was the wreck.

“It wasn’t your fault,” he muttered, “you don’t remember everything that happened or what car you were in,” he took in a sharp breath, “you’re lost and jumping to conclusions because you can’t remember,” he rubbed your back soothingly.

You weren’t sure how long the two of you sat like that him whispering sweet words mixed with apologies.

“We still have each other right,” you muttered pulling your head back, his eyes were red, he smiled looking away from your eyes nodding.

“You always have me,” he brushed some of your hair from your face and whipped away tears.

“Thank you,” you pressed your lips into a line, “it’s late, go to bed.”

I’ve lost all direction...

{{My 1000th post. It's just a bit of a drabble, but feel free to reply if you wish.}}

Beast was perched in front of her vanity table inside her tent, staring blankly at the empty expression she wore. Her rave hair was down, loose waves framing her face and bangs brushing against her forehead, and she wore no make up. Her only source of light was a candle that gave the room a dull orange glow and caused shadows to reflect off the tent's fabric walls. How long had she been sitting there? Minutes? Hours? It seemed as if just moments ago they had finished their show and she had bathed before retiring to her tent for the evening; yet, at the same time, it felt like ages had past.

The ring of silence that echoed in her ears was broken by crickets chirping nearby, a sound so common that it went unnoticed by the young woman. Her hands pulled the dark crimson robe she wore tighter around her thin frame as a sudden chill ran up her spine. It was warming up, that much was true, but there was still a nip in the air once the sun had disappeared beyond the horizon so that it too could rest for the night.

The picture from her childhood that normally rested on the table had been turned down so that she could not look at his face; neither her 'father's' -- gods how she despised that man and she would never fully understand why Joker held the man in such high regards -- or Joker's.

She gave a shaky sigh. Even the thought of his name made her chest ache in longing. It had been so long since she had the strong arms of a man wrapped around her, or felt the warmth of another. She hated herself for feeling so hopeless. She didn't want to feel dependent on another, to feel as if she needed those light caresses or the press of skin against skin...

She scowled at her reflection. She didn't need that, she told herself. She was perfectly happy where she was. Sure, there was things she could do without, but in general she was happy... right? She had a family that loved and admired her. That was all she needed.

But something in the back of her mind was telling her otherwise. She was twenty-one and some part of her was saying that she wanted more in her life. She couldn't just work at the circus her entire life, could she? Did she want more? Did she want to get married, have children?

She frowned. She didn't want to become the typical Victorian woman, but the overcoming loneliness she felt was beginning to grow each day. She had tried the temporary fixes, allowed men into her tent so she could feel wanted for just a night. Yet, when she awoke to a cold, empty bed, she felt more alone than she did before.

She didn't know if she could handle having children. The thought of pregnancy made her frown with worry. Her own mother had a terrible time with her pregnancy, so who was to say it wasn't in her genes? What if she had a miscarriage like her mother almost did? And who said she'd be able to raise a kid? True, she thought of Doll as a daughter at times, but to care for a baby? She had never so much as held such a young child in her life, let alone care for one.

Glancing at her reflection, she sighed quietly. Perhaps she was worrying far too much. Things would work out on their own, she decided. She would just have to wait patiently until they did.
