Meant to be read after the completion of the series, or you could be impatient like me 😭

Includes: Blood, Weapons, Pregnancy, Trespassing, Yandere, Children, Shenanigans, Death, Manipulation, Fluff (for real this time)

AN: I wrote the children as gender-neutral so you can imagine them as any gender you want. Tbh, I had imagined PVC with a daughter, DCC with a son, and SMC with a mix.

Shadow Milk Cookie

“So what if they’re trouble-makers? They’re our trouble-makers~”

Triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets; you will not be giving birth to just one child. It’s almost like chaos runs through every single fiber in his body, down to his very DNA.

He doesn’t even know you’re pregnant until you’re throwing up in the middle of breakfast and he’s internally freaking out thinking that you somehow managed to ingest some sort of poisonous berry.

Hours pass with you locking yourself in the bathroom and him cleaning up the entire house waiting for you to come back while being on edge. Every time he would knock, you would just tell him you were okay and to “leave me alone!”. It really did hurt his feelings, but he had no choice but to slink away and let you do whatever you were doing.

Your body did feel different, and your scent had changed. It felt gradual, not sudden, so you were probably going through some weird human thing. Your scent would change a few times through the year during menstruation, so perhaps this was the same situation? You would push him away during then too, but you had never vomited outright on the kitchen floor…

He’s a nervous wreck until you come out of the bathroom. The sound of the door creaking has him immediately running and hiding behind a wall, head peeking out just enough so he can see you. 

You look awful… He waits for you to call his name as a cue that you’re finally ready for him to hover around you again.

“Shadow Milk, we need to talk. Can you come here?”

Your pregnancy is rough, as in Shadow Milk hopes you never get pregnant again because you damaged his fur more than any bear or wolf ever could. 

He learned quickly to stay in line because you did not hesitate to rip out his fur for “pretending” to spill your glass of milk and then cry immediately afterwards because you felt bad.

He couldn’t tell what was worse: your anger or your sadness. 

On one hand, he had to make a beeline for the nearest hiding spot when he heard you shouting at him for something that he could’ve sworn he hadn’t done nor would do with your current condition (he probably won't do it once you're not pregnant anymore anyways; he's terrified for life). Hiding until you had calmed down left his body half as sore as yours and plenty of times it made him want to take his chances with the wolves and bears outside. 

Yet, on the other hand, your tears were unbearable.  It was the only thing that would make him rush out of a cabinet, closet, or from under your bed to wherever you were, to hold you and ask what was wrong. The way you would sniffle while apologizing for possibly tearing the hair follicles out of his head permanently, even though he deserved it, made his heart clench and want to tear up alongside you.

“I don’t want to be with a bald man…!”

His eyes narrow and his hug just becomes a pinch tighter, but he doesn’t say anything as you cry into his arms. Especially not mentioning how if he did end up bald, it was going to be because of you.

The children are even worse. He ends up having to cut his hair short until they’re old enough to know that pulling his hair is a one-way ticket to no playtime for that day, and if they actually manage to rip his hair out? A whole week of staying indoors and helping mommy with chores.

While Shadow Milk is seen as funny and easy-going; you’re left playing the bad cop.

You’ve already caught Shadow Milk egging on your kids to bully Custard the III way too many times. A yank of his ear making him sink to his knees has him and your children singing a different tune.

“Sorry mama, won’t happen again!”

“Yeah, mommy!”

“Yeah, mom~”

“Why the hell are you calling me mom too, Shadow Milk?!”

“Yeowch!”

It pisses you off, but you knew you were the only thing between your family being thought of as outcasts versus being declared as menaces of the forest. No matter how many times you yanked, tugged, or even dragged Shadow Milk back home after saying sorry to a very understanding Pure Vanilla and a tearful Custard the III, he just never seemed to learn.

You notice him making crude faces as you leave to Pure Vanilla whose only indication of being irritated are his narrowed eyes and straighter back. One lecture later, he's returning to Pure Vanilla with a gift basket that he definitely didn't steal from. Nope, definitely not.

“You’re a grown man! What’s wrong with you?!”

You don’t even let him explain himself before you’re grabbing him by the collar and making him stumble along behind you. Your children wave bye in a mocking manner to the poor squirrel person they had chased into a tree where they looked like they were about to have a heart attack. Their small hand on their chest and their quivering lips accompanied by panting made you feel even more awful.

“No, actually, apologize. All of you now!”

Your hand grabbing the top of Shadow Milk’s head like a blueberry about ready to pop was all the encouragement they needed. They pout and grumble but eventually end up letting out half-hearted apologies with grins that made the poor beast-man faint on his tree branch, much to your dismay. 

You run your hands down your face as they cuddle next to you in a pile of limbs strewn across your body. Their cute, little faces and fluffy tails make you relax at the end of a long, hectic day. Your lover’s gangly body acts like rope tying you all together as he too sleeps, or pretends to, you still weren’t entirely sure about him at times. 

The peace and quiet you had wished for had long been robbed by the blue fox that refused to leave you alone. You just wish he would stop scheming, and hoped to one day be able to let go and have fun alongside them. But you knew that if you ever decided to play along with his pranks and plots… That shotgun wouldn’t be collecting dust anymore. 

Pure Vanilla Cookie

The first one to immediately notice you’re pregnant. 

Unlike Shadow Milk, he’s been around pregnant people before and can pick up on the tell-tale signs and scent even though yours is uniquely human. And unlike Dark Choco, he’s actually around you everyday, for weeks even. Other wolves usually come to fetch him when they require his input and decisions, but they tend to leave you two alone. He’s thinking of just retiring from his role at this point.

At first, he had thought of bringing you back with him to stay with the other members of his pack, but… You’re far too vulnerable in your current state. Throwing up, crying, eating abominations that make the hairs on his arms stand up and his nose crinkle in disgust while he tries to comfort you despite how awful the smoothie you were drinking was.

“Dear, is that really okay for you to drink…”

“You can have-”

He’s immediately gagging at you bringing it closer to him and you back away out of caution.

“N-no, I-I’m fine. Come back.”

“No…”

You end up keeping your quirky foods away from him. Even though he abhors the stench, he still tries to come near you while you consume your unusual choices, and you end up having to shoo him away.

He feels guilty for not being around you as much as he thinks he should, while you start to feel restless at your lack of freedom and him constantly invading your space, leaving no alone time for you. You know you should communicate your feelings to him, but the hormones mess with your head and you don’t even realize you’ve shouted at him so horribly until you see his wide eyes staring back into yours. His ears are completely flattened against his head and his tail hangs limply, making you falter and immediately apologize.

“You did say that you had come to this forest to avoid the life you had before, and the people…”

“Pure Van-”

“No, it’s quite alright. I understand.”

Tears, screams, and other negative human experiences; he bears through it all with you to stay by your side as much as you will allow him to. You barely need to ask and he’s there for you. He’s akin to a servant, waiting on you hand and foot, even after your child is born.

Cold expression with glassy eyes, and already up to your hips at their small age. Your child looks nothing like you besides their eye color. A picture-perfect copy of their father down to the shape of their nails and the length of their eyelashes.

You poke at their cheeks, and their giggles set your heart at ease. Warmth blooms in their eyes as they crawl into your lap despite how heavy they've become, so quickly, and you're more than content to hold them in your arms and pepper them with kisses. 

Pure Vanilla no longer goes back to his pack unless it's for serious matters only. He's delegated all responsibilities to the other members and opts to stay with you and your child. 

It's peaceful, nothing much really happens, and they're both usually quiet enough that you can relax in the comfort of your room. Pure Vanilla knows you moved here to be alone and live in the silence of nature, so he doesn't mind giving you enough time to be on your own. It's the least he feels he can do after you gave him such precious gifts: your child and you teaching him how to use your gun, just in case. 

You didn't miss the way his eyes had filled with a strange light you’ve never seen before when you told him you were going to show him how to use your guns. He never once expressed interest in them prior, so you didn't dwell too much on it. You were pregnant, and didn't want to feel the absolute dreadful strain from the recoil of firing a shotgun on your sore body, as if it already wasn't heavy enough while you were just holding it. Having Pure Vanilla armed against a threat, there aren’t any, helped ease your mind.

“I love you, Y/N.”

“Mmmm…”

You know you should tell him you love him back, but you're exhausted. Your second pregnancy felt even worse than your first, and left you relaxing on the couch multiple times to catch your breath.

“I love you too, mommy!” 

You hear your child shout before they're crawling under the blanket where you and Pure Vanilla are cuddled up next to each other. Their fluffy ears poke out and then the rest of their cute, chubby face. 

“Love you both."

You say as you lovingly pinch their cheeks as they squeal. They move to lay on you, but Pure Vanilla is quickly grabbing them by the waist and instead dragging them onto his own lap as they whine. 

“But mommy is softer…”

“I… Daddy can be soft too.”

It becomes harder and harder to suppress a laugh when you notice Pure Vanilla's ears flattening in dejection the longer the conversation with your child goes on. He ends up holding them tighter against him. They squeal as they're engulfed by his hug and you can hear their laughter becoming softer and quieter as they slowly fall asleep in his embrace.

Dark Choco Cookie

He didn’t even know you were pregnant until he randomly decided to visit you one day just to see how you were doing.

This man is STRESSED when he sees your round belly and thicker body. He can immediately tell you’re pregnant, but with whose child? He has no idea. God, he wishes simultaneously it is yet isn’t his.

You’re more exhausted, but still the same person he remembers, so he isn’t as cautious about approaching you. Your shotgun leans against the wall as you hug him and your stomach basically juts into his. His hands nervously tremble and he almost touches your belly, but holds himself back.

“You’ve been busy…”

“What?”

You don’t even bother telling him what he’s said wrong, sighing and seeing he hasn’t changed one bit either, minus the whole “I don't care if you kill me” theme he had going on.

You have him sit down before you tell him it’s his and he still manages to fall into some furniture. You knew he wouldn’t take it well, but not to the point where you would have to buy a new table for your porch…

You don’t force him to stay, nor does he ask to. But, you do notice that the area around your home has become insanely quieter. No birds, no deer, no wolves. You don’t even hear bugs anymore. A dark, looming shadow can be seen in the woods and after your third sighting, you realize that he’s genuinely lingering around and scaring everything off with his presence alone. 

Not only has he basically been stalking you and your home, but he’s also dropped in more often than not. He never arrives empty-handed, coming with a bundle of herbs in his arms, a jar of berries, even a giant boar…

You tell him you would rather he visit you without feeling the need to always bring something, especially after you watched him drag the boar to the front of your house, skin it, chop it up, and then hand it to you in a form that a frail human like you only needed to cook before consuming. It smelled awful, for weeks on end, and it brought in curious bugs to your property for that short while, more than you would like to be honest.

He doesn’t hide his conflicted emotions. His face scrunches up and his pupils dart around unsure about how honest you’re being on wanting only his presence and not what he has to offer, but eventually he nods and wanders back into the woods. 

His visits become much more frequent, nearly daily after that conversation. However, not once does Dark Choco take a step into your home during your pregnancy until you’re able to coax him in. A little lie about something being too heavy to lift or too tight to open and he’s following right in after you. 

Your home is as confined for his larger body as he remembers it, but he doesn’t comment on it. He’s only here to help you, not do anything that could upset you, and ends up staying the night with the way you keep asking him to help you with more and more things.

It’s not until he’s laying in bed next to you, where you had managed to squeeze him in under the pretense of wanting something warm and soft to hug to sleep, does he finally take his time to admire you. It’s dark, but he can see you, smell you, and hear your soft breaths as you rest. You're perfectly fine as can be while pregnant, but to him it feels like you're much too vulnerable.

I can’t leave her alone.

You expect him to be gone after you wake up, but much to your surprise he stays. He mumbles something about you needing help in your weakened state. The blush he has on his face is hard to hide when you smile and thank him despite how awfully he had worded his offer.

He doesn’t entirely understand what he’s roped himself into, but he wants to stay beside you. Someone warm, someone caring, someone who lights up his bleak world. It doesn’t feel so bad anymore. His life almost feels worth living. And soon, he'll have another reason to stay.

His child is almost as quiet as him. Almost.

They’re bright, vibrant, and starry-eyed. They chase after butterflies and eat random things off the ground until Dark Choco sticks his hand in their mouth and makes them spit it out.

But they’re also very introvertive. Shying away and hiding behind you when Custard the III came to see his newest squire (he meant newest friend).

It takes much coaxing from you and some choice words from Dark Choco for your child to become a little more social. Dark Choco is barely, if any help in that department.

He was dependable for booboos where your child would scream in his ears for hours while he would patch them up. When your child had questions and needed honest answers. And when your child would cry because a rabbit jumped at them, just for said rabbit to end up becoming dinner. 

You had to tell him off to not kill in front of a morbidly quiet four year old again, who when asked about their day, would only say, “I saw a rabbit. Dad took care of it.”

Your glare has him looking at every inch of the floor before he's mumbling an excuse.

“I hunted my first rabbit right after I learned how to walk.”

Your eyes narrow further and he’s nearly whispering now under his breath on something about weird human customs and half-heartedly promising not to do it again.

It only takes a few weeks for your child to come back with blood splattered on their cheeks and clothes, and the corpse of a rabbit in their mouth.

“OH MY GOODNESS!”

They’re spitting it out onto the floor with a proud smile while you look on in horror. 

“DARK CHOCO!”

“Yes, honey?”

You look behind you where his voice came from. He’s holding a basket of freshly-washed laundry that you had told him to hang up to dry after the wash cycle was completed. If he was inside, then who…

“Excellent work, squire!”

You peek your head out of the doorframe, past where your child stands, and see an equally proud and bloodied Custard the III running up to your porch. He has more rabbits slung over his arm with the red liquid seeping through his sleeves and staining the cloth, leaving you staring in shock with your mouth hung wide open.

“Royal meal mak-, I mean.. Miss Y/N, we brought dinner!”

You don’t even want to turn around at the sound of Dark Choco’s heavy footsteps behind you. You can hear him commending them while the two children beam with delight at the praise whilst covered in blood, luckily none that was their own, but still…

“You should start hunting too, mama!”

“Y-yeah…”

Ancients/Beasts x melty reader

Burning spice🔥: Considering he lives in the literal desert you better believe he's never letting outside his temple, he constantly commands his followers to bring you ice packs and cold water almost all the time. When he's near he's afraid to even touch you in fear of accidentally melting you with his body heat, he treats you like a priceless relic that could shatter at any moment

Mystic flour📜: To her you are an ice sculpture that must be preserved. she sees beauty in your fragility and wants to keep you together at all costs, being high up in the mountains means it is already quite cool to behind with but if that isn't enough she will personally make her pagoda as cold as possible moving is too much to keep you with her. I also believe she can control her body temperature so if you happen to brush up against her she will feel cold as ice just don't mention it to her or she will deny altering her body heat.

Shadow milk🃏: In the spire of deceit he can manipulate the temperature anyway he wants! So expect it to be incredibly cold all the time, much to the dismay of black sapphire cookie and candy apple cookie he refuses to change the temps to keep them from freezing after all they can just wear a sweater! anytime you feel down he'll make up games to play with you maybe he'll even have a snowball fight if he can make the spire cold enough!

Eternal sugar☁️: She may use your delicate nature to manipulate you into staying by her side constantly. Don't worry though she won't let you get all hot and melty instead she'll make sure everything is to your liking, she'll even make her garden nice and cool just for you! Anytime you feel like you're melting she'll lay you down and cover you in ice packs as she lays beside you.

Pure vanilla🍦: He's a bit less worrisome compared to the rest as he can heal you whenever you feel you might be melting, however despite this he will make sure to keep ice packs on you at all time to keep you nice and cool. however he wants you to stay by his all the time so please don't try to wander about to much.

Holly berry🍓: What? you can't endure warm temperatures? don't worry! she'll change multiple rooms around to make it easier for you to move around her castle! she'll constantly ask you if the temperature is okay and check to see if you're melting, she just wants to protect you after all. she'll also make sure to send servants to get you anything you need to prevent you from possibly wandering into a room that's too warm for you.

Dark cacao🍫: This man lives in coldest place in all of crispia so he's a bit less concerned about you possibly melting. however if you ever feel hot and melty he will drop whatever he's doing to take you on long walks outside the kingdom. He doesn't mind the cold as long as you're safe and happy, he will even tell you stories of his battles and what inhabits his land during your outings.

Golden cheese🧀: She lives in the hot desert so she will be extremely concerned about you, the only difference from the others is that she'll keep you asleep surrounded by ice and let your consciousness rule the golden city by her side. if you ever feel done or upset she'll make sure to distract you from your troubles by taking you to parties and shows in her amazing virtual world!

White lily🌿: She's absolutely devastated when she hears about your condition, she's never heard of such a thing and vows to find a cure or treatment to keep you from meeting a melty fate, but until then she will keep you surrounded by fans and ice at all times, whenever she feels a bit guilty that you can't go outside due to the heat she will read you stories of magical adventures and the history of crispia!

All of you planted in a circle on the floor.

A bottle centered between you.

This was so silly. The kind of thing you did when you were a teenager. Not teachers who were entrusted with teaching the next generation of mutants. Not when you had saved the world from the next World War. You were supposed to be the X-Men, as the phrase had been coined by Raven.

Had alcohol been part of the decision? Of course. Hence the reason pretty much everyone was a giggling mess. Raven leaned her weight into you on the left. Peter Maximoff laughed to your right, taking another swig of his flask. Your eyes scanned the group. Looping around to Hank McCoy who was nearly directly across from you. Wedged between Sean Cassidy and Ororo Munroe. Who were both having a conversation as if the doctor was not between them. His lips were pressed tightly together, awkwardness settled inside him. Lifting his hand to wave at you across the room, making you smile. Waving back.

You liked Hank. A lot. From the moment you met, there was something between you. Making your heart skip a beat and the butterflies flap around your stomach. Taking the time to learn the other’s power and help them better control it. Learning that his new furry side was linked to any strong emotion he felt, or how if you focused hard enough you could lift things ten times your own weight. You worked well together. Able to help him regulate his thoughts and feelings, but also not judging him for when the Beast came out. Even spending time in the laboratory testing new serums and machines. No where near as smart as him, but able to give a different perspective. Even complimenting and flirting from time to time. Lingering touches or quiet moments. Swearing there was something more blossoming between you.

But there was always a problem. The same problem that wrapped her arm through yours right now. Her head resting on your shoulder casually. Raven was your friend. So you felt guilty for the jealousy harboring inside you. Hank had a crush on Raven and had since the moment they met. Eventually bonding over their unceremonious mutations that left them with some physical abnormalities.

You poked your tongue into your cheek as you waited. Everyone still denying their desire to play. Flirting with who they would clearly want the bottle to land on. All you could do was smile at Hank. Him widening his eyes and showing his teeth in an exaggerated expression. You would shrug your shoulders in response. Almost as if the two of you were having a silent conversation.

“Alright, enough messing around,” Peter said as he slapped his crossed legs, “Who’s up?”

Silence for the first time. Everyone looking back and forth, no one willing to offer themself as bait. People shaking their heads no or crossing their arms.

“Why doesn’t Hank go first?” Raven bit her nail between her teeth with a mischievous grin.

Something in that made your intestines twist. Anger seething inside you. Raven was flirtatious with everyone. Always had been. But it was different when she openly flirted with Hank.

Hank held his hands up in defense, “Oh— N-No. I do-don’t think—“

And maybe it was your own fault for never being honest with her. Because you would never forgive yourself if you confessed something like that just for him to tell you he liked her better.

“Come on, Beast!” Alex started, “Beast! Beast—!”

Quickly turning into a chant all the way around the room. Everyone shouting his hero name in unison.

“Okay— OKAY!” Hank smiled as he shushed the room. Not wanting Charles Xavier to come barging in and interrupt the fun because the group could not keep it down.

Some celebratory cheers rippled off the walls. Hank crawled forward, placing his fingers on the empty bottle. Spinning it with enough force that there was no telling when it would stop. Round and round the group. Your chest tightened each time it passed you. Looking up at Hank who was sat back in his previous position. Eyes fixated on the bottle.

As it slowed, the possibility of it landed on someone else was growing more and more real. Looking to Raven and seeing her chewing her lip. Loving the anticipation of it. Others leaned forward watching it. Wide eyes and hung open jaws. Smiles and flushed cheeks across the room. Realizing that some people were more excitement than you had anticipated.

And an idea crossed your mind. If you got the timing just right, you could continue its spin without anyone noticing. Guaranteeing it landed on you. All you needed was to focus. Concentrate on the speed, calculating the rate at which it would slow.

Or leave this all to fate. Let whatever controlled the universe decide if this was right or wrong.

But you would never forgive yourself if you let that happen.

In the blink of an eye, you had control of the bottle. Surprising yourself that the transfer of power went so smoothly. All your training was paying off.

Allowing it to continue its trajectory as it should then beginning to slow it. Holding your breath as it circled the group one last time. Ending with the neck pointing at you. Your eyebrows bounced up your head and you sighed in relief. Eyes quickly darting up to Hank’s. His cheeks were already glowing red. Shock written across his expression, but the corner of his mouth curved into a smile.

Raven smacked your arm, “Ohmigod!”
