Suggestion: Beast Pit

There are stories of a place where people can test their strength, a place called The Beast’s Pit. There are many rumors of where this place is ranging from that it takes place in an abandoned coliseum, other believe it doesn’t take in one place, but that the location is constantly changing, and some think it’s merely a place in the minds of fool hardy fighters. Whatever might be the reality, there are people constantly in search of this place and to show that they can say that they are one of the few who was able to conquer The Beast’s Pit.
The Beast’s Pit is actually a real place, run by a woman, only known as the Beast. The Beast is a dark skinned muscular woman with scars covering her body. The Beast towers over most of the competitors and is only dwarved by those who are much taller than six feet tall. The Beast constantly changes her attire for whatever the occasion might be, the one thing that she constantly wears is heavily used and worn cloth wrappings around her hands and wrists. The cloth wrappings are caked in dirt and what looks to be blood that has dried and turned brown, probably from those who have unwisely chosen to challenge the Beast. No one really knows the story behind these accessories, but no one has ever seen her take them off.
The Beast appears to be in her late thirties, but no one has gotten a clear answer from her and the way she acts makes her either look like a brash young teenager or someone in their late fifties. The Beast is a bit of enigmatic figure as she seems to revel in the fight and nearly anything in her domain is fair play, but there are certain rules that no one is allowed to break. One of those rules is that unless the people fighting agree, there is no murder allowed. Often there are people who have to leave the ring in a stretcher, the Beast will step in if she thinks of the competitors has killing intent in their eyes. The Beast has even stopped a fight before it even began because she sensed that one of the fighters had planned to assassinate his enemy. The fight was canceled, but the blood thirsty fighter refused to let it end there and in an instant the Beast had knocked the fighter to the ground in a bloody mess. Few of the spectators were able to keep track of her movements and for most, they didn’t even see the Beast move from her place.
The Beast’s Pit was created not as a place for people to make money, but as a place for those who seek glory. People certainly gain some form of reputation by competing in this arena, but there are those who see only fortune. The Beast does not stop those who want to fill their pockets with money, but she does not take kindly to those who try to rig fights for profit. The Beast has gone to war against people and companies who fixed fights, The Beast continues to live on, while her enemies are only remembered as foot notes in the legend of The Beast.
There are arguments to how The Beast started The Beast’s Pit: there are those who think the Beast was a fighter who had risen through some competition and took it over as her own, others believe she created it as she wanted to find someone who could put up a challenge to her, and some theorize that she merely is a figurehead, who is being controlled by someone in the background. No one can agree on what is the truth, but everyone agrees that The Beast is a true warrior and not someone to be questioned.
Aside from general workers who help run the Pit, The Beast has people she trusts that she has follow her around. No one seems to describe the same people traveling with the Beast, but there are people who believe that the people with The Beast are her trusted allies, who fought with her at a young age. While some of the people with The Beast look nothing more than pencil pushers, most people are wise enough to not try and anger someone who is close with The Beast.
Generally people who are in search of the Beast’s Pit are fighters, but there are of course those who seek to make profit and a few who get a rush when they see people come to blows. Most people come and stay for as long as they think they can get some respect or fortune out of it and some leave as soon as possible as they realize what kind of world they’ve gotten into. There are even people who never leave the Pit as they’ve become so engrossed into this world that going back to everyday life seems boring. The Beast’s Pit is something that many have spoken of, but only a few can truly say they've experienced it.
