Loose idea for context:

A couple hours after Rumi takes Zoey in, helps clean and tend to her wounds she brings her food.

Rumi places the plate on the bed and is about to leave when Zoey stops her. She starts probing asking questions about the castle and why Rumi was here by herself. Innocent in her eyes, a threat to Rumi. When Zoey doesn't get a response she resorts back to eating the meal. Then Rumi asks her a question.

Rumi heard what the town had to say, what the person closest to her embaded in her veins.

She's a beast, people kill the beast.

Rough draft context:

This is a couple of days after Mira is saved from the wolf attack and despite her desperate attempts to convince Zoey to flee they end up staying.

Mira doesn't talk to the beast and the beast knows better than to talk to her.

Mira saw the damage the beast could do. It hunts, it kills. But Zoey swears the beast helped, she tended her wounds, fed her and talked to her.

Stubborn but loving Zoey more than she fears the beast (yeah, Avatar reference) they agree to stay until Zoey is healed enough to safely travel back to town.

Zoey went out earlier the afternoon to forge for berries to bake a pie with Mira. She said her goodbyes and gave Mira a hug and wave before he departure.

Mira kept herself occupied until dinner time. Becoming suspicious of how long Zoey was gone for.

No text, no call. Mira sends multiple texts if the time Zoey is gone until she finishes dinner. Zoey is one to respond quickly to a text, especially from Mira.

But not this time, Mira calls, and calls, and calls with no avail.
