Actually yes. I started to make little gifs back in school for fun. In my media design classes I was one of the best students and often I was already done with my work when the other’s still tried to figured out what they had to do. And mostly I helped the other students then with their work but my teacher rather wanted that every one tries to do their own work. So I was stuck in monday classes sometims for hours with doing nothing. We only had restricted internet access and some day I just tried out to make little gifs. I built them frame for fucking frame and then used them in my presentations to impress my teacher. ( It worked. Every. Damn. Time. lmao )
My ambition was awoken and I started to try to make the real stuff at home. Every beginning is hard and learning how to make gifs with video sources was no difference. But I actuallly really enjoyed it and was finally able to show my love for the games I love and enjoy. Looking back at my first gifs today I would say they’re horrible and cringworthy at best but I actually think this is a good thing because you never stop learning how to make gifs because there is always a new effect you want to learn how to use or a new way to color your gifs and while making gifs often takes hours out of my free time I still enjoy making them because, for me, there is no better feeling as to be proud of what you produce. And then to be actually seen by fandoms and people telling you how much they love your stuff always ignites a warm fuzzy feeling.
