Imagine Beatrix coming to you for comfort after Riven breaks up with her

It took Gray forever but eventually he did finally show up to relieve you from your guarding duties. It was one in the morning and after a long day of training and four hours of standing guard. You wanted nothing more than to take a hot shower and climb into your warm bed for a good night of sleep. You weren't expecting anyone to company you for any of those activities either. Which is why it came to a surprise when you rounded the corner to find. Beatrix sitting outside your room with her back pressed up against the wall head buried in her arms.

"What are doing here?" You asked pulling the keys to your room from your pocket. Most of the time there was no need to lock your room door, but you were one of the few specialists that was lucky enough to. Not have a roommate and one night you returned to your room to find the door ajar. It was none other than the person sitting at your feet right now. Back then her dropping in unannounced was a bit of of a surprise, but it wasn't un-welcomed. Well until it was and that was when you requested a lock to combat the unannounced visits.

Beatrix didn't answer your question instead she just got to her feet. You glanced over your shoulder at her. She just a raised a single eyebrow with a sigh you unlocked the door and pushed it open. Letting her follow you in without argument. Once the door was shut and your duffle bag was thrown into the corner in the room. You caught her by the hand and spun her around so she was facing you. "No one can hear us now answer my question. Why are you here?" You asked more sternly this time.

Her eyes made contact with yours looking for any sign of weakness. There was none you were serious.

"I miss you" she whispered. Her voice so quiet you barely heard her.

You let out a humorless laugh releasing her to run a hand through your hair. "This is a joke right like seriously you're trying to play me right?" It was more of a statement than a question.

"No I wanted to be with you ton-" Beatrix started

"Let me guess because Riven broke up with you, and now Dane doesn't want anything to do with either. Because he was only in it for Riven" You said cutting her off with a harsh tone.

"How did you know?"

"This might not be a normal school but it's still filled with teenagers who love to gossip. News started circulating pretty fast when some of the specialists saw Riven leaving Rosalind's office looking pretty upset. You weren't there to comfort him, so everyone just put two and two together."

"There's more to the story y/n"

You held up a hand to stop her from continuing. "I don't care you can leave now."

Her mouth dropped open in shock at your harsh words. She wasn't use to this side of you while she knew it existed. None of your anger had ever been directed towards her till now. You didn't wait to see if she had anything else to say, your shoulder brushed up against her's as you walked past her heading for the shower.

"Don't you still love me?" Beatrix exclaimed trying to keep herself together. Her knees were starting to tremble. This wasn't how things were suppose to go.

You whirled around filled with rage at her throwing your feelings into your own face. "Its not about rather or not I still love you Beatrix it's about. How about you dropped me last year for Riven and Dane because I wasn't useful enough for you. My love didn't mean anything to you then why does it matter now?

Beatrix opened her mouth to argue but shut it when you grabbed her by the shoulders. "Of course I still love you I never stopped, but you're not about to use my feelings for you to manipulate me. Get out of my room now." She didn't realize it until you were done talking, but her legs were slowly backpedaling towards the door. Her hands reached out to grab your forearms, and she braced herself against the floor. You paused not wanting to throw hurt her well at least not physically.

"I have nowhere else to go y/n please." She cried tears pooling up in her eyes.

"You have a room" was your reply.

Beatrix tilted her head to the side in disbelief. "But its empty and-" she paused trying to find the right words.

"Its empty and lonely I know" you finished for her. "Maybe its time you knew what that felt like. Your arms fell from her shoulders as you turned back around. "I'm going to get in the shower be gone by the time I'm done."

"Y/N please I need you" she whimpered her voice cracking.

You paused at the bathroom but didn't turn around. "Please don't make this harder than it needs to be Beatrix just leave. I don't want you here." Those were your last words before you disappeared into the bathroom slamming the door shut behind you.

Beatrix managed to make it into the hallway before falling apart. She didn't even make two steps away from your door before her legs gave out on her. Forcing her to stop walking she hid her face in her hands, and pressed the front of her body into the wall. A specialist would walk past her every now and then. Her sobbing was nearly silent but the way her body quivered gave it away that she was crying.

No one bothered to try and comfort her. Someone did knock on your door at some point to alert you about her.

You didn't answer.

Beatrix x Fem Fairy Reader

Requests: “the reader is pretty close with Riven and Sky and Beatrix is jealous?” — “an imagine with Beatrix where she’s all cuddly and smushy but still protective and like her ‘bitchy attitude.’”

A/N: I’ve decided to combine Alison + @riddles-wifey requests in one as I thought they perfectly completed each other. I hope you will like it! For American readers, the first floor is actually the second floor in this imagine. Also, English isn’t my first language so I apologize in advance for any grammar/spelling mistakes.

Warning: Some cursing (one or two words).

“I swear, you should have seen him last year…” Sky said, making the two of you laugh heartily once more as he kept babbling about stories of him and Riven. “Yeah yeah, fuck off mate,” The other Specialist grumbled before he rotated a quarter turn on the bench to face his friend, arm resting on your thigh as you were sitting on the table in-between the two. “Well, you should have seen him at the end of last year,” Riven hit back, emphasising on the him and referring to Sky break up with Stella. Sure, it was a bit harsh but he kind of deserved it after all the embarrassing tales he had shared.

From the first floor Beatrix was watching the scene, jaw clenching. “Jealous much?” Dane asked, leaning on the arched wall next to her and the Fairy’s bitchy resting face was on again. “Of what exactly?” She raised an eyebrow while feet away from the pair, Riven was nudging you playfully with his elbow. “I don’t know, of the two hot Specialists that seemed to be attached at the hip of your girlfriend, maybe?” Beatrix sneered at the first-year’s words like he had just said the most stupidest thing. “Please, I’m way hotter. Now, if you will excuse me,” she purposely bumped her shoulder into his and walked towards the stairs you were now climbing to head to your afternoon class.

“Did you have fun?” The unexpected voice and hot breath behind your ear made you startled. “God, B, you scared me…” You told the Air Fairy who linked her arm with yours while tilting her head. “Maybe I should scare you more often if it allows me to have your attention,” despite the smirk that was growing on your lips, you rolled your eyes. Beatrix could be quite possessive but to be fair you were too from time to time. “What that supposed to mean?” You questioned, seeing already all the mischief in her big brown eyes. “Nothing. I know that two guys with wooden sticks are far from the actual magic I do with my fingers,” you both chuckled at her not-so-innocent statement and leaned to share a tender kiss.

You liked being with Beatrix. You were both a little damaged to say the least but she was one of the only person with whom you could be who you really were. You would lie if you said you also didn’t like the fear and the envy of the other students when you were together or that they made way for you in the halls. But what you probably liked the most was the fact that you saw a part of her that no one else could and will ever see. The more soft and caring side of her behind the cold and mean attitude.

The two of you were suitemates, she actually was the first person you met at Alfea. You had developed some sort of routine after classes which simply consisted of laying on your bed and talking about the things you missed in each other’s day. Those conversations were what had blossomed feelings into your hearts. Today, you were telling Beatrix what you had learned about Sky and Riven’s first year during lunch break. Lately when you weren’t with her you were, for sure, with them. Of course, she will never willingly admit it but Dane wasn’t entirely wrong when he said the boys were glued to you and that it was bothering her. She didn’t have to anyway, you knew her and you could clearly see it on her face. The way she looked away and the pout on her lips.

“Wait, are you jealous?” Never you ever thought saying that about Beatrix but maybe the little taunt she made this afternoon wasn’t as careless as it had seemed. “I’m going to pretend you never say this,” she digressed but you spotted it immediately, the distinctive pitch she had in her voice when she was annoyed. “B…” Despite the use of the nickname you had for her she could tell you were being serious right now. She sighed, had turn on her back just to lay on the side again, her face only millimetres away from yours. “I don't want your opinion of me to change.”

She had told you everything about her plan regarding Rosalind, what the former Headmistress had in mind and what she did to Callum, but it was the friendship you had develop with the two Specialists that she feared will make you look at her differently. It was almost hard to believe but you didn’t question it. She had opened to you once more despite it not being her strongest suit. “Riven cares about you,” besides, it was Beatrix who had introduced you to each other in the first place. “Sky hates me,” she pointed out almost immediately, knowing very well she had a point there. “But I love you.”

There it finally was, her smile. Her true smile. Not the fake one she gave people to keep up appearances. You gently put your forehead against hers and closed your eyes. She kissed you softly. Shortly too, as she shown you her hand. It was something you did whenever one of you felt down or as some kind of proof of your bond. You chortled, and palm to palm, you made your powers connect and your eyes colour shifted. It was controlled and beautiful, glowing too, especially now that the Sun had set. Silence had filled the room you shared, you looked at the little ball of magic floating in the air near your fingertips, while it was you that Beatrix was looking. “I love you too.”
