it feels almost surreal to be staying in an inn again after so long on a ship. and so close to home too... not that it really feels like home anymore. not that it ever did.
she can’t really tell if she misses the coast or not, but she figures jester must. especially with her family left behind yet again.
“ you send a message to your mom? she might wanna know you’re safe. maybe where you are or something. “
beau doesn’t like how complex her feelings are around the relationship between jester and her mother. and, mostly, she’s been burying them all away where none of her thoughts even have room to breathe.
