I don't need to have a conversation with you to tell you to fix your shit. Do you have any idea how exhausting it is to watch my Asian friends deal with the same old bullshit because you couldn't fucking Google "how to not write a racist character" in 2021? Your whole blog's world building is smashing the framing of Magnificent Century with costumes from Chinese historical dramas because you like the aesthetics of it.
I'm not going to unpack every single shitty, racist thing on your blog because I would be here all day, but English isn't the default. It's not neutral. It's not the standard to set your fantasy by. You can have a non-white character who is better at reading and writing a language than speaking it because as a second language learner myself, that's a very common experience. To have it be a whole language family and specifically English and English related languages? You don't get the benefit of the doubt, not when you've doubled down on whitewashing.

mahi’s probably been a part of the harem - hmm not since childhood i would say, but not entirely far off of it either. growing up in that environment taught her as much as it took from her. which is really the shame here since the woman’s got a brain, but it’s almost squandered in the place. only thing she can put it to any sort of good use towards is keeping herself alive. mahi is headache prone, is going to lose another child and go mad from the experience, possibly.
