We’ve talked about some things, such as imaginary food, already as resources that help combat the effects of fusion matter; however, following some of the in-game material, I’d like to cover other things that imaginary friends can create or that can be created from imaginary environments that also have some use to the war effort.
Coco’s Eggs:
Every Fusion Fighter knows to look out for these special items to gain boosts in the field or rare items that may help them in the war effort. While Coco may thus far be the only imaginary friend able to create such resources, they’ve nonetheless been pivotal in the fight against Fuse. It’s believed that her ability to create these eggs was because of her creator--a young girl who was trapped on a desert island--not only potentially being someone with a high imaginary energy, but also due to the desperate state of her situation when imagining Coco: With Coco’s abilities, she could care for her creator until help could arrive. These eggs can be separated into two categories:
Standard Eggs
The strangest by far, even to the people of Foster’s Home themselves, these eggs have the power to grant temporary abilities through imaginary energy such as increased speed, a sixth sense that allows a person to detect fusion monsters, or advanced healing. These are often left scattered in easy locations for soldiers to obtain while in the field to give them an advantage. However, the short timeframe in which they can be use and their fragile makeup are two disadvantages. Since Coco has to mass produce these alone and since they also contain what is essentially pure energy rather than anything physical, the abilities they grant are too unstable to last.
Watch out! Some of these eggs have also been created as tracking explosives. These, along with the healing eggs, were created specifically to handle rough fusion monster invasions/fusion matter infections, such as for the Fusion Fighters trying to regain control of the Fireswamps. The explosive eggs are used as traps for the fusion monsters, so be careful not to get any of them confused.
Golden Eggs
These eggs are no different from the ones Coco would lay normally prior to Fuse’s invasion and in her own time presently; however, she created them specifically to give Fusion Fighters additional resources--or even just a fun prize to lift their spirits when they find them. However, due to the strain of creating the standard eggs, they’re much rarer than they used to be. These can contain anything for armor, to an accessory, to datachips used for updating the Spinel-ARCH with new forms.
Re:Fuse Posters
Since the imaginary friends can pose as a liability overall if they sign on in the war as soldiers, many who couldn’t fight opted to create Re:Fuse Posters. According to Wilt in “Beautication Mutation (Part 5 of 6),” these posters were designed to “demoralize Fuse’s minions and weaken them.” Unbeknownest to the imaginary friends at the time, it actually worked better than they could’ve hoped. A lot better. Infusing their own imaginary energy in their creation on top of multiplying them through an imaginary printer friend, the posters radiated with small traces of imaginary energy that, while completely harmless to Earthlings, disoriented fusion monsters. Since the events of “Beautification Mutation,” they’ve been trying to make more to place in other civilian areas.
