What in the world are these insects? They are cuckoo bees that are native to Australia. Buzzy little cuties, right?

Hi Lucy darling! I’m from America and I don’t understand the concept of the bees, would you mind explaining it to me please? 💞💞

So it started with the Industrial Revolution and basically is a sign of hard work, unity, all the rest. They are literally EVERYWHERE!! All over our city are the little bee symbols, from graffiti to mosaics to being imprinted on the bins in the centre. They’re everywhere!!!!

After the terror attack in May, they were a prominent symbol we used to show our togetherness; to show that we’re a team, that we’ll keep working hard and they can’t force us apart. Tattoo parlours started doing the tattoo for free during the wake of the attack. More graffiti popped up everywhere but wasn’t taken down. There’s one in particular that’s huge, on the side of a building, 22 bees to represent the 22 people who were killed at the Ariana concert.

So that’s why the bees were held up at our show last night, during Just a Little Bit of Your Heart, and that’s why it means so so much to us.
