Okay first: get some bad girl lingerie, you’ll need it for shitty days at work when everyone is being a dick and you’ll need something secret to feel powerful in. I am a fan of straps, black, and satin but find whatever works for you. Get yourself a sizable collection with the MC pre-starting loan.
Second: Go to a specialist perfume shop and get something that makes you feel sexy (describe what you’re looking for to the attendant as ‘musky’ or ‘dark’). Expect to spend around ~£100, put it on when you need it.
As for makeup: Winged eyeliner is my gold standard. Get some of the pens, they’re easier than brushes, follow a tutorial for your eye shape (if you can’t find a good one, the general rule is to follow the shape of your eye until about 2/3 of the way to the far corner, then find where your eye creases and draw a straight line to the highest point on your eye ball – fill in the triangle from that point to the far corner of your eye and viola, cat eye). I also am a big fan of red lipstick – as someone who is not a natural at applying lipstick, I go for one that I can apply at the start of the night and /won’t move/. Between those two moves (plus dry shampoo for sexy, effortless hair), you should be good to go.
