I don't like that the beaver blog is letting people be racist & anti indigenous towards wolfweewoo (hopefully I'm remembering the username right) and how other users are just... Enabling those people and telling wolf that it's just a joke or to grow thicker skin etc etc. Yes it's "just" a troll account but why are people actively taking he trolls side??? Even for a "joke"??

Goinker was a troll and eventually stopped after enough people just flatly said stuff along the lines of "shut the fuck up man" and didn't engage further.

People say that the beaver blog is amazing and unproblematic and they love it and it's the best blog but that's literally just because they RARELY talk. Like they talk once a week.. most they'll say is "I agree" on the most cold take ever. Like I bet you'd like ANY blog if they only rarely talked and never voiced their opinion 🙆‍♂️

I agree that it’s healthy to recognize when an account is a troll acting in bad faith and hopefully be able to adjust the mental energy you give accordingly, but being bigoted to be “funny” is still bad!! You are still spreading these beliefs and platforming them and contributing to the overall normalization by framing them as “comedic.”

And when the person has already been told that it’s a troll PLENTY, continuing to point out something they clearly already know just to dismiss their feelings is unnecessary and cruel.

Just look at the biggest conservative talking heads. Very few of them believe anything they say. We know that. We’ve seen them go back and forth on their beliefs over and over. Do they get a free pass for spreading that stuff just because they don’t believe it? Of course not. And even on a smaller scale like random troll comments, you are still normalizing it. You are still turning racism into a joke rather than a very serious issue.

Beaver blog blocking woof (I can't spell so I'm shortening the username) for calling out people being racist about them is.. certainly a choice!

I don't like people calling me a cracker in the same way I don't like people calling me a gypsy (I'm romani & white, very white passing) and I don't care who is saying it or why because it's both meant to hurt me based on my skin colour and experiences. I'm sorry but my family didn't need to immigrate from Nazi's just for me to be called a cracker and I would also be pissed off and cause a fuss if I was in woof's shoes!

I'm not indigenous so I can't understand fully, but I'm fully on woof's side here and think the beaver mod is super fucking gross for allowing it and siding with those nasty motherfuckers who are excusing it.

Mod Beaver rarely speaks or gives their opinion on things, so in that sense, ofc they'd be the most "unproblematic" drama blog owner.

They're also the only TH drama blog I've seen where followers frequently run their mouths in the notes BECAUSE the mod isn't going to directly confront them on anything.
