frasier - when no one's around, it's great balls of fire or i didn't mean to turn you on by robert palmer. when someone's around, it's by a crooner or from a musical or opera

niles - same tastes (musical, crooners & opera) as frasier. if he were to choose one song that isn't from a crooner, a musical or an opera, it would be fields of gold by sting, sacrifice by elton john or the way it is by bruce hornsby

niles & frasier - duet mode, its definitely from a musical, a crooner or an opera but if its not from either three, its shape of my heart or an englishman in new york by sting or any billy joel song

daphne - idk i could see her sing "like a virgin" or "girls just wanna have fun" or "venus". if not one of those, its a steps song... except she hasn't lived in manchester to see steps get big in the uk and would have known em via a friend's cassette tape

martin - frank sinatra, but not "my way" for obvious reasons

roz - bitch by meredith brooks or the power of love by celine dion

bulldog - push it by salt n pepa or ice ice baby by vanilla ice. he'd probably be the type to sing wham rap by wham and not be embarrassed by it

gil - just anything theatrical & campy

noel - once in a lifetime by talking heads (or any new wave song, especially whip it by devo) and then he translates it to klingon

bebe - hey big spender from sweet charity & all that jazz from chicago. similar tastes as gil

lilith - does not participate in karaoke cuz she's not into it. if given one when drunk, its the power of love by celine dion

Frasier fans delighted over 'best episode yet' as beloved character returns

She's back!

"The Squash Courtship of Freddy's Father" really was the best episode yet.

Overall the Frasier return has been hit or miss. Out of all of the characters I like Alan, Frasier's long-time friend and fellow snobby Harvard professor, the best. He has the right ratio of differences and similarities to Frasier to be a good foil and an entertaining character overall. The writers gave him more depth this season, too.

Frasier's son Freddy is kinda-sorta in the Marty role. It works sometimes. Freddy's BFF Eve is the working-class character featured most often. She's okay. No shade on Eve.

Niles's and Daphne's son Daniel was supposed to be the new Niles. It didn't work AT ALL in season one. The writers seem to be trying to retool him in s2.

David is less annoying now, at least.

I wish David Hyde Pierce would return. AFAIK he has no interest. Oh well.

I keep watching for the nostalgia, Alan, and analyzing the show in general. Watching the ongoing experiment is interesting.
