I've found that writing little vignettes of conversation snippets really helps move the story along. I will be making gratuitous use of this, thanks for asking. Now to FINALLY write the rest of the Great Plateau section. I just need to get to the Temple of Time and I'll be fine.
I am living for repressed but touch starved BOTW Zelda (and also Link). There's gonna be so much unprompted hand holding and instinctive touching and it's just gonna be so GOOD.
Am I projecting onto these characters?
... No comment.
Alright peeps, I'm officially starting a BOTW fic, so prepare for lots of posts about ideas and thoughts. Because I need more Zelink in my life, and I need them going through the game's story together, even if I have to make it myself.
Current working title: "It's Dangerous To Go Alone (Take Me)"
The basic concept is that both Link and Zelda wake up in the Shrine of resurrection, so they're both without memory and they have to travel together, with all that that entails.
Currently, my thinking is that Zelda's power knocked her out when she finally unlocked it to save Link, but because she used so much of it and it got all the nearby guardians down, the excess power went to the castle to seal the calamity away, leaving her entirely drained. And as the story progresses, she is still trying to tap into her powers, but every time she does, the seal on the castle gets weaker, leading to angst and hurt/comfort.
I just need friends to lovers BOTW shenanigans, okay?
Things I never knew I needed in a fic until it came out of my keyboard - Zelda beating a bokoblin to death with her sandal. My girl coming out literally swinging here and I'm so excited.
Okay my lovelies, time for some audience interaction!
In "Dangerous to go alone", both Link and Zelda have lost their memories to the Shrine of Resurrection - which means neither of them knows anything about where things are or what areas of the world to visit. So, in what order should they do the Divine Beasts?
My current thought is to do Vah Ruta second, for the *angst* of the Mipha plotline, but where should they go first?
WHY DID NO ONE WARN ME AO3 IS DOWN PEOPLE
Link: "I'm not that smart."
Zelda *cracking her knuckles*: "Nobody talks about my friend like that and gets away with it, so square up, buddy!"
