Beca - In Deep Love

Off her EP of the same name, title track “In Deep Love” is the latest single from the Los Angeles via New York electro-pop songstress Becca Schack. Though Beca’s burdened words are carried forth by a clunky, heavy-beat stagger, the crisp, effervescent feel of the track’s blissful catharsis speaks otherwise. Spoken through Beca’s sensual delivery, the light and airy float of her vocals pair to  a scintillating gleam of fluttery disco emotion and percolating cascades of raspy synth. Speaking about the her album and title track’s confounding emotion, Schack had this to say:

“This collection of songs is about surviving heartbreak and ultimately finding the will to move on. You know you need to part ways with the person you still love most, and the thought of it tears you apart, yet in your heart, you know that both of you must follow different paths. We all want to be loved and dance through all these complicated emotions under shiny disco balls and laser lights. We can still come out whole on the other side and forge a new destiny.”
