Help Me Understand

Hi there! I may need some help understanding what the difference is between fictionkins and endogenic "systems"

Right now, at least to me it seems like endogenics and fictionkins are really similar. They're both people who claim to have different "parts" of themselves that they switch to, despite not being caused by trauma. The only thing I've noticed being different between them is that endos are generally unaccepted by the CDD community while fictionkins are. I need help understanding what the actual difference is between them, because right now it feels like fictionkins are just endos trying on a different coat of paint to see if we'll accept them. Can anyone please explain to me the difference?

History 4 is the most mood-flip show EVER.

One moment we're with Xingsi as he talks about the idea of coming out to his father and how much he wants a thick-skinned boyfriend for support and his gay friend totally understanding the idea.

And then we go to LiCheng and MuRen being idiots.

... Seriously, talk about a mood changer.

Poor, poor Xingsi. He doesn't deserve any of this. He deserves a quiet life with a man he loves and far, far away from these idiots and stalkers.

I know I’m being nitpicky here, but I just don’t understand the choices the writers made on some things, or maybe I’m used to it being different. But again, it’s Stiles who’s put into the life-threatening situations while Scott is in a lot less danger. It’s so weird. Like, first Stiles is paralysed and is basically right next to someone being killed with the kanima chilling in the next room while Scott is waiting in the woods for Allison. Then Stiles is at the risk of being killed by the kanima yet again because he made the decision to save Derek’s life while Scott is dining with Allison and her family (do we see a pattern here) here. Sure, that’s not not dangerous, but still.  

I’m so used to the protagonist/hero deal with the worst situations that this just really confuses me.
