Silence.
Priyanka hated that word.
It reminded her of loneliness and fear and quiet (obviously, silence did mean quiet). It reminded her of the moments after slammed doors and heated arguments. It reminded her of death.
It reminded her of those times where she had nothing to say, nothing but an "I'm fine, don't worry about me."
She tried her best to ignore silence. She surrounded herself with noise, with people, with music, with the hum of the world. She talked whenever she wanted and didn't let herself slip into her insecurities plaguing her mind.
