You’re very welcome. Yeah, seems so! How was home, though?
Home was great, but I missed Lys’ and everyone else. What have you been up to these days?
We are pretty hard not to miss, I know. Nothing much, just studies and regular Hogwarts things!

Lorcan! Welcome back. You kind of look like a different person, too. Haircut?
Hey, Priya! Thanks. It feels good to be back. I feel like a new person, that’s for sure. I guess being home and a new haircut does wonders.
You're very welcome. Yeah, seems so! How was home, though?
And that was a much needed, refreshing visit to home. I swear like a feel like a whole different person!

Evening everyone.
That too. Especially if it’s good food.
Oh, so you were homeschooled? How’s a farm? I’ve never been on a farm…Always lived on the outskirts of London my whole life. You must be really close to your parents, then… Yeah, that seems to be the case; easier to make friends when you’re not really trying to.
Well - Mum did her best, but chores were the main focus. I can’t really complain though, I love the farm. It’s gorgeous out there, and there’s always something to do. Yeah, I am. They’re … well, they’re the best.
What’s living in the city like? I can’t even imagine.
Chores, never did like those. I can see that, with all the country and greenery and all. Really? Like what? That's great you think that. Seriously. I used to think that about my dad, but--
It's so fun! There's always something to do during holidays and there's always interesting people about, if you know where to look.
Evening everyone.
Biscuits make everything better, of course.
Zero experience? Come on, you have had to talked to some people your age — at muggle school, family, those kinds of people. But I’m sorry to hear that. I bet now’s much better?
Naturally - food makes everything better.
Well no. I hadn’t been to school before here. Never had the time. The farm kept me busy. Just my Mum and Dad really. Oh loads - once I stopped caring whether I made friends or not every started talking to me.
That too. Especially if it's good food.

That must’ve been surprising for eleven-year-old you! McGonagall has one hell of a presence, that’s for sure. She’s really lovely once you get past the strictness, though.
Yeah, those years can be bad with getting used to things all.
She looked intimidating as hell, but after she offered me a biscuit I couldn’t really be afraid.
True - plus I had the added benefit of having zero experience talking to people my own age. It wasn’t exactly the best time here for a while

Ohh, that’s cool! I guess it wasn’t as huge of a shock that it could’ve been? You must have really good grades, then.
Oh it was a shock, that’s for sure. Mom and Dad didn’t believe the letter til McGonagall herself showed up to convince them. She’s incredible.
I do now - but I was pretty abysmal up til third year…

You should, it might be a nice change, yeah? You probably wouldn’t drone on half as much as him. But how have you managed to read the books? I never had the attention span for all that history.
I’m muggleborn - lived on a farm with my parents my whole life til I got my letter. The second I got my books my parents and I devoured them. We wanted to know everything we could. Nothing’s really changed since I was 11.

I feel like most students are. The majority of the students in my class seem to be either doodling on their parchment or falling asleep.
I’m always half tempted to just teach the lesson myself. I’ve already read the books - might as well. Can’t do half as bad as Binns, eh?

Lucky! Mine was for History of Magic… You can imagine how well that went.
They should stop assigning essays altogether, really.
When it comes to History of Magic I’m inclined to agree.

Evening everyone.
Forgot to do some homework, mostly an essay…So been up all night trying to finish it. Oops.
Oh I know that feeling. I forgot completely about my potions essay - luckily I’m not terrible at potions so I got it done fairly quickly.

Pretty good, I think. Hopefully.
Don’t sound too sure there - busy night?

Evening everyone.
How’s Hogwarts tonight?
Pretty good, I think. Hopefully.
So...Anyone know the Transfiguration homework?
I could try to help you? But warning, I’m not very good at it.
It's okay, help is help! You could start by telling me what it is, I may have forgotten to write it down...
So...Anyone know the Transfiguration homework?
Yeah, I definitely had too much coffee today.
More like 100% essential.
Wow-you blow my mind Priya.
I can cross that off my bucket list.
Yeah, I definitely had too much coffee today.
Too much coffee isn’t really good, you know? I think my brain’s perfectly fine, if a bit jumbled from lack of sleep.
You’re….You’re odd.
Thanks, I think.
Odd's better than some adjectives, I suppose.
