After Rin graduates from high school she doesn’t go to college. She was lucky to have graduated high school with her adhd and lack of real motivation. Instead she gets a part time job as a tennis instructor at a local tennis club and works the night shifts at her families convenient store so her mother doesn’t have to work such long days anymore. She either lives with her mother still or has a single room apartment close by to help out with anything Cassia might need. She’s never had ideas of riches or leaving her social sphere and she truly is happy with the life she has so she doesn’t feel burdened by anything like lack of money to do things or to be able to buy the latest phone of whatever. All her saved money though does go to concert tickets to see her favorite groups as Rin adores music a lot and it is the one thing, besides playing tennis that brings her real joy.
Rin is not as romantic as her older sister Lenora either. Don’t get me wrong, she loves romantic gestures as much as the next person, but she doesn’t have that dream of prince charming coming to save her from anything. The way she sees it she doesn’t need any saving. And she’s seen what her sister went through going for the “bad boy” and making everything about the person she’s with to the point that they have all the power in the relationship and she’s not going to let anyone do that to her. Not to mention growing up with a single mother because her father is a legit psychopath who left his family before she was even born because all he cared about was climbing the ladder in the corporate world. She will definitely have boyfriends in high school she likes, but she’s never going to lose herself for someone else.
I’m wondering why they didn’t have this conversation before, when Piper first raised the issue of needing her own space...
All the sisters end up doing this at one point or another. Except Paige, I think! Interesting.
Piper does it to manage (or not) her grief about Prue.
Phoebe does it for romance avoidance reasons.
And Prue does it... because... she’s bored?
Says a lot about them, doesn’t it?
SO CUTE
Yes yes please give me all the hanging out scenes.
1. I LOVE scenes like this. My very favourite scene in all of Charmed is similar, where Paige, Piper and Phoebe are getting ready in the bathroom.
2. What is Phoebe saying about the BART? What is the BART? Is it half of a word? Is it a ferry?
3. Chips can’t stand it when the sisters get all up in each other’s business, and he was so mad when Prue gave Phoebe that evil eye over the newspaper because she wanted new shoes. I tried to explain to him that Prue and Piper are paying all the funds since Phoebe doesn’t have a job, but he reckons if she’s getting an allowance she can spend it on what she wants. idk, I sort of agree with him, but also, if I were paying my sister because she didn’t have a job, I’d be annoyed she was buying expensive shoes.
4. Prue, no one ever wants the opinion page. Please only be asking for it so you can put it in the fire or use it to clean windows.
