"I think the best bit of the pamper thing at the Refuge was at the end. All the women left and gathered on the pavement outside, not wanting it to end. They asked us to take a group photo and they were giggling and laughing. They didn't know each other that well and mostly bonded by common (not nice) experience. But they wanted to keep the party going and go for coffee now they were all dolled up with gorgeous hair styles and make-up and manicures and pedicures and stuff. They were only going to Macca's but they felt like queens of the universe. One of them told me she felt like a new woman. They just bubbled with joy and laughter. And that's when I thanked God so deeply for the opportunity to serve - especially in the company with other amazing Christian women - and the privilege of meeting these women where they were at. You just see God so clearly."
