your smug face could level cities, it is glorious
I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm proud of the middle one. This is the face I pull when I call people out or get into fights in real life so you can tell I'm not well liked.
gaynintendonerd25 tagged me, so now I'm inflicting this on you.
The rules:
Always post the rules
Answer the questions from the person who tagged you
Write 11 new ones
Tag 11 people
Actually tell them you tagged them
Questions:
1. If you have a favorite video game, whats one thing special about that video game to your heart?
FFXII's gambit system is the best thing the franchise has come up with, and that includes Kefka. I will seriously fight anyone who says otherwise.
2. What is one thing you’d change about your favorite show, or how your favorite show is currently running (like any problems as little as budget to major like sexism or racism)?
I'd take out the panty shots from Sailor Moon. There's no reason for them, and they ruin an otherwise perfect show.
Or I'd take the massive amounts of stupidity out of DC's management.
3. What is one thing you wanted to watch, try, read but never did so even if you’ve been meaning to?
I keep meaning to watch Once Upon a Time and catch up w Game of Thrones, but I haven't gotten to it just yet. Maybe this summer.
4. If you made a motivational quote to people what would it be? (if you can’t think of anything or if you want to post something funny you can be witty as well)
Dude I can't even motivate myself how the hell am I supposed to motivate anyone else?
5. Who are your role models in life? Specific people don’t have to mentioned, or you could even say fictional characters or things that make you comfortable.
Meenah Peixes 38D
And Ten'oh Haruka
Also Akuma Homura, just to show you how skewed my priorities are.
6. If you were a character in a fictional novel what would be your motivations, goals? Hero? Villain?
I'd be the villain, trying to take over the world.
7. What fictional character or real life person if you prefer, do you relate to the most?
I relate to the Strider-Lalondes from Homestuck to an unhealthy extent, which is the only way one can relate to them, tbqh. 8. What is your favorite video game song or soundtrack song from any media such as movies or television?
"Magia" from Madoka Magica is stuck in my head rn. Also "Candles and Clockwork (Alpha Version)" from Homestuck is gorgeous and absolutely worth listening to for days on end.
9. What was one thing that truly made you happy, like as happy as you possibly could be?
My cat
10. Favorite underrated character or person?
Suzy Turquoise Blue from the Keys to the Kingdom series. Or Faith Lehane from Buffy.
11. Favorite gadget? Can be a real invention or fictional tools.
Portal gun

hey it might just be your adobe flash plug in? Or something similar? I had a similar problem so I De-installed my flash and then re-downloaded it and the problem went away. :)
thanks I'll try that!
Hey what do you think of the new Black Widow? (Sorry if you already posted your opinions and I didn't see/forgot. If so I can just go look through your archive.)
currently mediocre? natasha needs someone - and needs editorial - who are actually in it for NATASHA, not because she has a raised profile thanks to the MCU. also, not because of the “red in my ledger” line which seems to be the foundation of everything involving her now, which boils her down to so little. like, i think edmundson is doing serviceable spy work right now? it’s kind of like a spy thriller you pick up from the supermarket, only a good deal less ridiculous. the problem is, it’s not really delivering yet on a LOT of potential here for a book with natasha in the lead.
you COULD do her as just regular spy stuff forever, and that’d be fine, but that’s not really what i want from natasha. what i want from natasha is a woman of many roles, many contradictions. the promo image hyped me up, because it said “avenger. agent. assassin”, and that excited me, because natasha has been many things, often at the same time, and the clashes and contradictions between them would make for great plot and character potential.
but it’s not really popping. it’s just… you know, serviceable spy stuff. it’s not as good as my favorite spy comic, Queen and Country, but i don’t expect it to be. i was hoping for a lot more character work with natasha with an eye towards her ACTUAL character history as we’ve seen it over the decades in marvel, and not, again, the “red in the ledger” deal. she’s been the leader of the avengers before. she’s been a spy, she’s been a killer, and she trades through these roles rather easily no matter what happens or how time presses on.
i want to see natasha exploring all of these aspects of herself, what appeals to her about being a hero, or a spy, or an assassin, and what about those things individually upset and eat at her, and how she manages to juggle all of them while looking totally unflappable to everyone else. it’d be a perfect opportunity to bring in some underused marvel spy characters and have natasha bounce off them, exploring herself and seeing herself in aspects of others, as well. jimmy woo would have been a perfect supporting cast member, for example, having much of the same multiple roles deal as natasha does.
it’s a book that’s decent, but i want it to be a lot more, and deserves to be a lot more.
also some standard dialog problems. natasha saying “dude” at the end of the point one story threw me and kind of killed a lot of the character/story tension it had built.
