We received a heartbreaking plea for help from a rural shelter in GA. Two senior dogs were surrendered after Covid-19 took the life of their owner. We want to warn you that these photos are disturbing. Brandy came in with a volleyball-sized tumor hanging from her chest. We have no idea how long she has been living in this condition and can’t begin to imagine the pain and discomfort she is feeling. She needs urgent medical care. We can not bear to see her in this condition for one more day. We are committed to saving Brandy and her brother, Tyson. There is no way we could take one without the other. As of lately, we have taken on many severe medical cases, and our medical fund is running very low. To make such a big commitment, we urgently need your help. 🚨 We have a serious 911 on our hands. We just received an urgent call for help from Fulton County Animal Services. A Chihuahua was found on the side of the road, in a dog bed with massive head trauma. His body is lateral, his blood pressure is low, and his condition is very critical. We cannot imagine what happened to him. We are baffled and finding him in a dog bed makes us think this was NO ACCIDENT. We have a transporter on the way right now to transport him to a critical care hospital. Time is of the essence. We have named this little boy Ricky. We just received a frantic call from our Mississippi volunteer. You may recall, over the summer we rescued over 12 dogs and puppies from a dilapidated property, where the owner passed away. Well, we have been trying to catch the last 2 dogs from that property. The land owner threatened our volunteer, that if he saw the dogs he would shoot them. Tonight, when Lisa went to put food out, she heard whimpers coming from a nearby ditch, there she found one of the dogs, shot in the leg. He was unable to stand up, and had been there for sometime. This is not an uncommon practice in this rural part of Mississippi. The dog is a male, he has over 80 buckshots in his leg, and it’s also badly infected. The other dog has not been spotted for a few days now. Our volunteers will go back tomorrow and do an extensive search of the property. She's about 6 months old, had a severe skin infection, a huge bruise on the side of her stomach (we do not know if she was kicked), she has blisters and puss and certain areas of her legs and body. This puppy is downright miserable at the shelter and has clearly lived a miserable life which she didn't ask for. Dogs are born attentive, trusting, vulnerable, honest, in the moment and loving, some POS tried to take that part of her spirit away. We're gonna give it back to her, it belongs to her, she deserves to feel SAFE . We tagged her under our rescue and the shelter is helping arrange transport for her to get to the hospital. We were just contacted by Fulton County Animal Services, about a boy who was just discovered by officers in a ditch in the woods. The images of this poor boy are haunting. Camo was found curled up, unable to move or stand, due to his extreme emaciated state. When we saw the photos and videos my mouth droppedand heart sank. His temperature is 96 degrees , he's having some sort of cardiovascular issue, he's just bones, hair, and skin. Poor angel should weigh about 65 pounds, he is currently 31 pounds. He is muscle wasted, dehydrated, and has a deep wound on one of his hind legs, that is badly infected. We are at a loss at this boys condition. All we can do is pick up the pieces from here. He's being rushed to Blue Pearl 24- hour emergency. We are hoping it’s not too late for him. In cases like these, at times if they are too far gone, their organs start to shut down.
