Finally working on my light rifle! Originally I was going to carve the shape out of the insulation foam, but I already had to cut out a bunch for the lights and battery pack, so I think I'll just add more foam on. But it's gonna look rad. I hope.

I'm learning code to program a light sequence for this so it better be awesome.

Also had some fun with the different colors

And of course there's last year's plasma pistol - I mean, "medical scanner" 🙄 lol

so i cosplayed summer jeanne on easter sunday at ab and i am going to hell for this

Okay, I would like some opinions.

I'm only going to the renaissance faire once this year (probably) and the only costume I have even remotely prepared is my halo costume. But it needs to be repainted, and that's where I'd like some recommendations.

Option 1:

Just repaint it with the same master chief colors as before.

Option 2:

Bright purple. Then I wouldn't be master chief, I'd be Doc from Red VS Blue. He's not my favorite character, but I have the plasma pistol - I mean, ... med scanner! 🤣

Option 3:

My own colors. I bought a metallic blue/teal tester that I think is gonna look badass.

The problem is, that dinky little can was $15 for 3oz. I went through two I think 12oz cans originally. Big yike.

Only a couple hours in at the PA ren faire and my costume is ALREADY getting fucked up by the rain. ☹ we hate to see it. But it's still fun 😁

Went out and got some fanTASTIC photos of me in my Master Chief costume! Had camera problems during the night shoot, which sucked, because that's when I wanted to show off my plasma pistol. Oh well. I will be wearing this to the PA Renaissance faire this weekend if anyone who follows me is going!

Finally finished with my Master Chief costume for the renaissance faire this year! (Dont ask how he fits in with the ren faire theme) (he fits in bc thats what I'm wearing lmao) excuse the fact that I'm sweaty and gross; this outfit is VERY warm. Looking forward to wearing it all day later this month 🤣
