Got this mod for Halo 4 that allows you to have your custom spartan during the campaign
Sure its still Chief and Tana but being able to get new, high quality screenshots if I ever want to be able to have in game shots of my characters is nice.
Had to try it out with Locus first, though, cause it looks so good.
Still need to unlock Prefect armor for my Fed oc
If you want the mod yourself, it's a little buggy, just as a warning but I'll leave a link to the nexus page below.

Install Instructions: back up your files first, just in case things don't work out
Open your properties within MCC and disable AntiCheat
Go to steam workshop, install the steam version of the mod first under the same name as the mod above
Go to nexus and install the files manually
Once finished, extract files and drag & drop the DLL file and Maps file into your Halo 4 directory. Replace all files it asks you to.
(I started the game just to make sure the game works and it crashed, so this is the fix if yours crashes
Mod author does not have this in instructions considering he stopped updating the Nexus page, but once that is done, you will go back to nexus under Misc files and download the V6 DLL
Once again, replace the DLL with v6 and that's done! You can play with your custom spartan
