I just need to make a post and ask about this:

But when did people get it into their heads that they can RSVP to an event and just not show?

Because I have encountered not only at LEAST six posts about this in varying places since the new year began. But also heard from friends who host things like game nights at local shops and events where people must RSVP online that people say they are coming. And then they just don't show. And I don't mean like- something came up. Of course that will happen at some point. It sucks, but it happens.

No, I mean people who RSVP, say they are going. And then just don't show up with no explanation. When did we start doing this? I sure as shit don't do this. I don't want to be Old Man Yells At Cloud but honestly like... When did we stop respecting basic rules of social interaction? Because that shit is RUDE and a real quick way to make sure you don't ever get invited fucking anywhere.

i feel trapped. i can feel my parents passive aggressiveness against my queerness (im not even out to them but im like. 97% sure they know something) and like yeah theyre not actively hating me but Knowing how they treat other trans family members behind their backs its like. what are they saying about me. how do they talk about me to each other. i know how they talk about gay people we know. do they say those things about me? idk dude im just so alone i have no one irl im only out to 3 people (as ace) and when i did come out they tried to "comfort" me by saying its technically not queer like. idk. im just ready to get out. i cant leave tho bc i dont know how to do adult shit so i am utterly fuckin stuck. ik it could be worse and a part of me wonders if it will get worse. anyway.

ive several tiktoks shit on white nonbinary and asexual people for like complaining about their oppression?? not even from poc from other white people. and not even addressing the racism within those spaces. just. how silly it is for nonbinary and asexual people to feel oppressed.

also for some reason we had a substitute in psych who went on a rant about how like yknow psych isnt needed and goes against god and all that shit. and then was like "did u know homosexuality used to be in the dsm????????" like it was this huuuuge deal and everyone just sat there it was so awkward idk what point he was trying to make but

in psych class last year i would ask stuff to catch them off guard and when they said shit like "u dont need psychology to be healed only god can do that" i was like "ok but what if it was a literal disorder that physically affected the brain (aka. described mental illness.) they were like "ohhhh in that case its ok u can get the help u need uwuwuw" like bitch what do u think mental illness is???
