im dramatic and i like making pdfs, so its only natural that i eventually decided to make a fake becketts jyhad diary for my campaign since hes here for the time being. i hope im not the only one that is helplessly dramatic, and so ive made a masterpost of assets in case anyone feels like using them. theyre all under-the-cut, else this becomes ridiculously lengthy. these posts are going to be partially for my benefit, because i will lose this information otherwise, but hopefully someone else takes use of them. these are all my findings from 4am this morning:
beckett’s handwriting. arguably the most important part of the diary. this font is hanshand, of which font size 12 looks like a perfect fit.

the title was 16pt font. i used text boxes for all of these, because no line spacing seemed to work
chapter cards. this was a little more difficult, and still not a perfect match, but it’s very close, and the matching font would have to be in the same font family. i used quadrat serial with the wordart styles outline (black, 1.5pt) and shadow (outer, with the transparency adjusted to zero under settings). i’ll have to toy around with shadow settings a little more

transcripts. another huge part of the diary. i initially just used 10.5pt courier new, but that didn’t look right:

courier new:
it’s not an awful match, and if you can’t be bothered to go and download the font, this works fine. however, i believe i found a match in courier prime, which is basically just a fatter courier new, but whatever. same font size, however.
courier prime:
i think a blend of courier new for the names and courier prime for the dialogue works best:
as for the last of my findings:
lucita uses john handy let and aisling uses p22 hopper. theyre about 50 bucks combined, perhaps closer to 60. comparison:

and that’s all i have currently, since i’m making and finding these as i work on my fake chapter. future updates will be tagged as “becketting”
(yes, it is really named “handwriting”. to save you the agony of downloading screenshots of the text and going to three different sites to find the font name, it’s here.)
