not to just start yapping but I feel like an underdiscussed element of transmisogyny is the fact that trans women are never allowed to be good at anything. often in arguments about gender segregated sports (but also even chess and game shows and coed sports as well) there will be a talking point of "well, XYZ transfem athletes have been outperformed constantly!". and I get why that's said and it is important to correct the bioessentialist idea that transfems have some "innate biological advantage". but at the same time it's so deeply depressing that any trans woman who does well has an axe hanging over her head. If you train, you try, and you win, you are immediately punished by a good chunk of the people observing you. this is horrifically detrimental to the already low-on-average self esteem and self image of transfeminine people. to be a trans girl is to have a bar you are forced to stay under in order for your allies to have a "compelling" argument about why you're allowed to be Alive and participate in society. this is evil
