Mmmmkay! So I'm going to populate my entire group out of kick ass women. This should be interesting and wide ranging...
In no particular order...
1. Gwen Cooper (Torchwood): The firecracker, fearless when she believes in her cause. She is the ferocious lioness protecting her young but has a huge heart. Has access to all the gadgets from other dimensions and the Hub.
2. Captain Kathryn Janeway (Star Trek Voyager): The leader, engenders fierce loyalty from her crew. Has experience in interstellar travel, can fight off the likes of the Borg and live to tell the tale (numerous times), can not only command a spaceship but knows how to repair it, has access to all the futuristic/alien technology of that world (beam me up!!!)
3. Hermione Granger (Harry Potter): Smart as a whip, knows all the spells, a clear thinker. Can perform magic with her wand, fly on brooms, reverse time, make a polyjuice potion. So very brave and loyal.
4. Dana Scully (The X-Files): The scientist. Logical, analytical and very, very smart. Will follow where the information leads even if it goes against her sceptic nature and is tenacious. Can perform autopsies and all the medical tests needed.
5. Bo (Lost Girl): Fae, she has the power to suck the chi from people's bodies, good combat skills
6. Starbuck (Battlestar Galactica): Rebellious, headstrong but will work in a team for the greater good. Brilliant space pilot. Is willing to put her life on the line for her comrades.
7. Xena (Xena: Warrior Princess): Amazing warrior, smart, owner of the chakram. Has had extensive experience with nemeses ranging from despot rulers to Lucifer himself. Has come back from the dead numerous times, can fight an entire army and win.
8. Sarah Walker (Chuck): Brilliant spy, able to live a cover story with absolute conviction, experienced in undercover and covert spy missions, excellent combat and firearm skills
9. Kalinda Sharma (The Good Wife): Private investigator. Resourceful and can find out almost anything. Even in the tightest bind, manages to extricate herself. Understands human nature and knows how to play people off one another to get the outcome she desires. Has the ability to seduce both men and women (and probably aliens) to her desire and although she is first and foremost self serving, is very loyal to those she loves.
10. Kristin Cavallari (Salt): vigilante spy, can get out of any bind, tenacious and able to infiltrate any facility on earth. Has no fear.
11. Sydney (Alias): Spy. Master of disguise, has survived the most amazing missions. Has all the latest gadgets.
12. Jean Grey (X-men): Has mutant powers beyond any known and in spite of them being suppressed has strong telepathic, telekinetic and empathic skills
13. Selene (Underworld): Matrix like fighting abilities, experience with seedy underbelly of the magical worlds.
14. River (Serenity): Amazing martial arts abilities
15. Kahlan Amnell (Legend of the Seeker): Can make you loose free will with a simple touch.
16. Hit Girl (Kick-Ass): Only a kid but with the super hero skills of an adult. Is underestimated and so hold the element of surprise.
17. Sarah Connor (Terminator): She's kick ass!!!!
18.Trinity (the Matrix): Can move between worlds of reality and manipulate the matrix as required. skilled fighter.
19. Princess Leia (Star Wars): Skilled diplomat and leader. Experienced in inter-species negotiations, lead a rebellion against Darth Vader.
20 Willow (Buffy the Vampire Slayer): She is a witch! Pretty handy with the spells.
21. Invisible Girl (Fantastic Four): She can go invisible. And she's adept accountant. Handy.
22. Supergirl (Superman): She can fly, super strong, you know, like superman...
And I know there are more great females out there to choose from (esp. superheroes etc) but these are the ones I know....
Okay, first off, instant follow for not only being the first to do my challenge, but for coming up with such an awesome list.
I'd like to add that River Tam brings a couple other things to the table! The experiments done on her brain give her limitless mental capabilities that include not only psychic ability, but also perfect aim with a handgun and the ability to create and operate from a flawless cover story instantly (the episode where Canton Everett Delaware is being all menacing and River menaces him right back until he leaves).
Might I suggest, for this list of extraordinary ladies, Veronica Palmer from "Better Off Ted?" Veronica would be an invaluable asset as a corporate spy, and having the budget of Veridian Dynamics would help very much!
