How did you meet Count Dracula and become one of his brides?
This is going to be a long post kids so get comfy and grab a snack
also apologies for any typos I didn’t check lol
I actually haven't known @thecount-dracula for very long, at least not as long as the other brides. Before I came to Romania, I was a university student back in England studying archaeology. Me and my friends had recently graduated so our professors invited a bunch of us on a trip to Romania to help conduct research into burial sites associated with the strigoi legends. Since we were recent graduates, they figured we would benefit from the experience of being on a excavation site and assisting them in their research.
The first few weeks of the trip were spent at the burial sites, assisting in excavating and collecting and recording finds. Most days were spent on site with evenings spent relaxing at the nearby hotel, while we spent most weekends exploring and experiencing Romania. About a month and a half after arriving, we were informed of a previously undiscovered site that looked promising for our research. Naturally we were extremely excited at the prospect of a new site and so me and a couple friends were tasked with setting up the excavation while our professors finished up on the previous sites.
One day we ended up working rather late into the night when we discovered a new burial located in a far corner of the site. When we began to excavate it we were shocked as the bodies were a lot more recent than the rest of the site and their seemed to be multiple bodies in a single grave, but we figured that it must have been a case of refusing an older burial site. What we weren't expecting, was for the bodies to start moving. They began crawling out of the grave and walking towards us with their arms stretched out. They were also chanting “omoara-ma” which @ihrinmunteanu later told me meant ‘kill me’. We were terrified, and most of my friends ran off screaming in various directions. I on the other hand was frozen, i couldn't seem to move or tear my eyes away from them, and that’s when the Count appeared. He disposed of the bodies and managed to talk to me, calm me down and explain what they were. I was still pretty shaken up and I really in no state to go back to the hotel or find my friends so he offered to let me spent the night at his castle. We spent most of the night talking and getting to know each other before I fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up pretty confused as I couldn’t find him anywhere so I decided to head back to the hotel. When I got there my friends and professors had packed everything up and were getting ready to head back to England. The previous evening had scared them all so much that they felt they couldn’t stay any longer. They wanted me to come with them, but I guess you could say curiosity got the better of me so I decided to stay, hoping to see the count again. That night I was in my hotel room when I heard a knock at my window. It was Dracula and of course I invited him in. He explained to me that he was a vampire and if I was interested, I could become one of his brides and live at Castle Dracula with him. I accepted his proposal, I couldn’t pass it up, I was too intrigued with him. He drew me in I guess you could say. The next thing I remember was waking up in the castle with a sore neck and @ihrinmunteanu knocking on my door and introducing herself.
