I honestly can't think of a single cartoon rn that's "trying to be adventure time". Like the loopy stick limbs originate back to like the DAWN OF ANIMATION with ye olde mickey and shit. The only cartoon I can think of that looks anything like family guy is the new Scooby doo. (And you could say FG is tryna be Simpsons. WHERE DOES IT END)
FG is definitely trying to be the simpsons tho in style and humor and they’ve admitted it on a few occasions lmaobut people think shows like Steven Universe, Regular Show, Star Vs, etcetc are just “Adventure Time Rip-Offs” bc of the style. because people have pea brains and can’t see the very obvious differentiations in styles and if a cartoon comes out around the same time as another they’re “pretty much the same thing”like when we were little and adults couldn’t grasp that digimon and pokemon were two different things because in order to get that, YA GOTTA USE UR BRAIN
