A Prayer to Aphrodite at Night

Dearest Aphrodite,

As the stars begin their slow dance across the sky,

I offer You my final breath of thanks.

Let this night be a balm to my heart,

Soft as rose petals and deep as still waters.

Wrap me in the comfort of Your love

Let my dreams be sweet,

Filled with beauty, warmth, and peace.

Guard my sleep from sorrow and restlessness.

Let my soul wander only in gardens of tenderness and light.

May I wake renewed beneath Your gaze,

Still held in the arms of grace.

Aphrodite, ever shining even in moonlight,

May Your love cradle me through the night.

Goodnight, blessed Lady.

Goodnight, beloved one.

Bedtime Blessing

Close your eyes and breathe deeply three or four times until you feel relaxed and at peace. Imagine that your entire body is filled with brilliant white light. If you like, hold your hands over your heart, and say:

In the still of the night

while the world around me sleeps

may the angels smile upon me and the lady bring me peace.

Blessings upon (List those whom you would like to remember in your blessing)

I know that you will care for them and bring them what they need

instill in me great harmony

in thought and word and deed.

so mote it be.

#1: Lord and Lady, Bless me as I sleep Keep me safe within your arms As round me night time creeps I ask you also, if you will, To watch over the ones I love- here's my list of those who need Some blessings from above. Blessings on... #2: Bright light, White light Take away my fright Don't let the darkness scare me, There's nothing here to fear. Let me sleep the whole night long, For I am safe in here. White Light, Bright Light Protect me through the night This should be done cupping hands as if holding a ball of white light. Toss ball in air and imagine it bursting to fill the whole room with protection.)
