Bee Lee- love me like the world is ending
Song Review: Bee Lee the M.C.- Criminal
Overall
Within seconds, the beat caught my attention, and I already started bobbing my head. Paying homage to a legend like The Notorious B.I.G. is no easy task, and I have to admit Bee Lee pulled it off. The voice change, flow, lyrics, and concept of the song matched what some may view as Biggie, and as a single for "Memoirs of a Drug Addict", I can see this being a promising album.
Good Vibes
The voice change and flow caught me off guard the most, because this was a different sound altogether from Bee Lee's previous work. The tribute concept was a good idea to me, simply because it's a fresh sound. I can easily see this song turning heads, and even ruffling some feathers within the east coast. Regardless of the likes or dislikes, this song is bound to draw more attention to D.C. native.
Bad Vibes
Personally i had to listen to the song quite a few times to get used to the obscene lines, and get pass the "did this nigga really just say that?". Honestly, I can't say anything bad pass that.
Overall
This joint is a 9/10 to me, and has me interested in hearing the rest of the album in it's entirety come August 23rd. You should hit up youtube to watch this joint, or mediafire to download.

Mixtape Review: Bee Lee the M.C.- Bee Season
Overview
When I first hit play on this joint, I felt like I was on a acid trip or something. From being an entertaining yet serious MC Bee Lee has put together an interesting line up consisting of 26 tracks. The mixtape runs at about an hour and some change, and I honestly was not tempted to hit the skip button. There were a few personal preferences on my end that I didn't agree with so much, but it doesn't take away from the mixtape much. The Council member and Bar Brothr (yes i know i spelled "brother" like that, i know what the hell i'm doing) is also the C.E.O of the music group "Pluto World".
Good Vibes
The transitioning from each song was well done, and it made me want to keep listening without going to the next track. With songs like "New Kid", "Schizophrenia", "A U" and quite a few others, Bee Lee has proved he can have fun with music, while still gaining the people's attention. The intermissions we're placed right, which helped the listening experience through the brolic 26 track line up. As far as lyrical versatility, I actually like the fact an emcee actually says anything and everything that is on his mind.
Bad Vibes
The mixing could have been done better on some tracks (example being C.O.A.K's verse on A U). I see Bee Lee also wanted to do the DJ scratches through his mixtape, and it was a good touch, but slightly overdone in my opinion. I also felt the reverb effect was a little much on the song "Break it Down". As stated these are personal preferences, and what I say is not law.
Overall
From having the extremes of being really smooth, and just straight up crazy Bee Lee has gained an 8.5/10 on this mixtape. This mixtape speaks for itself, and it's up to YOU (the reader that is) to give your own score. How can you do that? you can go here and download the mixtape.
