hi im bee and uhh minecraft said gay rights!
pictures from spelunking -- i hate strip mining but this way you have fun AND you get like a full stack of iron ingots out of it. 10/10 would recommend. Plus the new caves are GORGEOUS
new server with cheats enabled, I'm trying a playstyle where I build the bases and such in creative, but do the adventuring and spelunking and such in survival. Working out pretty good so far! my theory was right that I enjoy creative much more when it comes to building, things just move along soooo much faster
so far, I've built some nice docks into a stone beach bay, and across the river I've started a castle on a peninsula, overlooking some fields with a lot of livestock -- horses, sheep, cows, and one donkey for some reason. The castle is not my own design, I got it off youtube -- although the pink was my own idea.
one more horse related incident that made me chuckle...
there are exactly two white horses right by my cattle pen. They're on opposite ends, so for a while I thought there was only one and it was just moving around, but nope. Two. Love story waiting to happen.
Anyway so I thought, hey. I've got to get some steak anyway, might as well leave my dashing stead here and let him make his move. and when I tell you that the MINUTE I dismounted the white horse walked straight away
I guess she's saving herself for the handsome stallion over the ridge.
now that I tamed a few horses I'm seeing them everywhere. there's a huge village by the side of a hill on the savanna near base, that used to be our base of operations. Now it's more like a stop along the road to reach butterfly's little treehouse base, and it still has a full complement of supplies and furnaces and things in case those are needed.
The blacksmithery we converted into an HQ, as well as the village itself, deserves its own post but I noticed today that the plateau above the village has some lovely spotted horses. That whole area is actually such a vibe - it's close enough to the Y-limit that the trees are stunted. feels like a little pocket of open sky and grassland.
they're all like. this warm chestnut brown with white spots it's adorable. I left them alone but tied my own little guy up top where he could maybe make some friends. He seemed content to stick to his own corner though. Fair enough.
some fun horse stuff
i used to always have a horse but at some point you get tired of them dying
HOWEVER! was exploring and found a trio of gorgeous dark brown horses just chilling in a field so I lured them closer to my base and put the saddles I had lying around to use!
idk something about the color. seemed like "noble steed" material
wasn't sure if I was taming them right because THIS LITTLE JERK just kept throwing me off. Solid three minutes of nothing happening so finally I gave up and tried a different one and THAT ONE WAS FINE
fine, little jerk. you can stay wild. I'll name you something pretentious so you don't despawn and ride your siblings instead 🙄
two of the horses are full on lustrious brown. One has this goofy little spot on its head and white legs. I'm guessing it's the younger one of the three lol
anyway i took the one that wasn't thranduil or the one with The Spot and statswise it's amazing. fast, high jump, more than one row of hearts. kept running off after I dismounted so I'll be installing fenceposts around so I can tie it down
if it survives long enough to get a name, I'll care enough about it to be sad when it dies. Kind of hope it dies before then so I don't have to deal with that but oh well stuff happens and we deal with it.
bee’s diamond expeditions result in the most hideous portal encasement ever,,
turns out 7 is the magical number for diamonds! remember to mine around redstone, kiddos.
