commander up really said fuck toxic masculinity when he opened up to bug and encouraged him to open up in return and called him a tough son of a bitch for sharing his feelings
this has meme potential but i don't know what it is
one of the reasons i love tatiana so much is that from the moment she comes onstage, she’s established as highly skilled and incredibly competent. she marches in, hair tied back, wearing pants and sensible shoes, and immediately gets down to business. she acts before curt can collect himself enough to do anything and takes charge of the situation, which continues to be the norm in their relationship.
she’s no-nonsense in her approach to everything but is still a good person at heart- she shares her past with curt to explain why she does what she does, and makes him do the same because she can tell something is holding him back from not only doing his job, but moving forward as a person. she doesn’t put up with his constant ‘i gotta do it on my own’ bullshit and reminds him he can trust others to have his back and consistently demonstrates the truth of that. when he finally does open up to her, she’s accepting of him while still clearly defining the boundaries of their relationship.
i really appreciate tcb for making her a woman who’s still sexy without resorting to overtly sexualizing her. she’s a strong female character without having to be a poorly written hardass 24/7 who gets to save the world wearing pants, which honestly feels like a rarity in this genre.
the 2 genders

“Clearly.” Curt goes up another step so that Owen’s gun is level with his head once more, closing the distance between them as much as he can, rests his forehead against the muzzle, and closes his eyes. He has one more shot. “Owen, you’ve got to understand. If I’d gone down there, getting you out would’ve taken too long, neither of us would have survived-”
“Better to perish together than die alone, don’t you think? You left, Curt. None of your justifications now can change the past. You left.”
“And you tortured me in Monte Carlo, remember? Yanked out one of my teeth, shocked me, choked me with a chain,” Curt reminds him. “Wouldn’t you call that even?”
“Even,” echoes Owen. “Even. The man I loved left me for dead half a decade ago, and asks me if I don’t think we’re even.”
“I am sorry,” Curt offers.
Owen laughs humorlessly. “As if that means anything.”
“Say what you want, Owen. I’ve always been a man of my word.”
“What good is your word to me? You said yourself you’d never let me down, but look where we are now.”
“We were friends once. Partners,” he says, placing slight emphasis on the last word.
“You can guilt trip me all you like. Partnership isn’t in the cards for us anymore, I’m afraid.”
“Then what will it take for me to earn your forgiveness?”
“My forgiveness?”
“Yes. What do I have to do-”
“There’s nothing to be done for us, Curt. You killed me, I tortured you. There’s no mending things.”
“I don’t accept that.”
“Of course you don’t.” He sounds almost resigned. “You were never the one to accept defeat, were you?”
“Never have been, never will be,” he says, holding Owen’s gaze. “Maybe forgiveness isn’t on the table. Maybe we’re never gonna be able to go back to how things were. But we’re still here, after all these years. There’s got to be something worth salvaging between us. I don’t know what it is, or how long it’ll take, but damn if I’m going to give up the chance to try.”
“I don’t like that look in your eyes,” Owen says softly.
Hearing those words again hits Curt like a well-placed blow to the gut. He searches Owen‘s eyes, looking for the slightest trace of the man he’d once known. “We’ve both made mistakes, but all of this started with mine. You trusted me with your life once. Let me try to regain even the smallest bit of that trust?”
He holds his arm out to Owen, expecting nothing. But he feels the familiar grip of Owen’s hand on his forearm, and he’s so relieved he could cry.
i don't know who that dude from polygon is that was screaming about sonic killing god but he had silvery nail polish on in one of the videos charlie made me watch and also in the werewolf game one he was wearing two watches on the same wrist and a floral button up so i claim him for now
