I just listened to Just Hold On for the first time in a while and it felt like a spiritual experience.

Habit
song by Louis Tomlinson
transcribed by Bee *my best guess
(verse 1)
Always said that I'd (mess up/miss you) eventually
I told you that so what did you expect of me
So you come there's no surprise anymore
I know you said that you'd give me another chance
But you and I knew the truth of it in advance
Mentally you were already out the door
(pre-chorus)
Never thought that giving up would be so hard
The thought of missing you and your addictive heart
(chorus)
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the feeling I can't put down
You're the shiver that I can't shake
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the high that I need right now
You're the habit that I can't break
(verse 2)
I took some time 'cuz I ran out of energy
Playing someone I heard I'm supposed to be
Honestly I don't have to choose anymore
(cont. of verse 2 or pre-chorus 2)
But it's been ages, different stages
Come so far from Princess Park
I'll always need ya in front of me
In front of me
(chorus)
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the feeling I can't put down
You're the shiver that I can't shake
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the high that I need right now
You're the habit that I can't break
(bridge)
It may be the time or the space, I was out of control
And I'm sorry I let you down
Guess that I know what I already knew
I was better with you
And I miss you now
(chorus)
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the feeling I can't put down
You're the shiver that I can't shake
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the high that I need right now
You're the habit that I can't break
(outro)
You're the habit that I can't break
You're the feeling I can't put down
You're the shiver that I can't shake
You're the habit that I can't break
real talk, since when did Liam become one of those artists who travel alone, without a band or even backup dancers, and sing to a track on stage? he's said repeatedly that he feels bad for those kinds of artists :(
@seasurfacefullofclouds
So I just listened to Two Of Us Acoustic and I could agree with you that it is just the original version ran through reverb and echoing softwares (just like One Direction's Perfect Acoustic version, I mean c'mon, lazy) but... BUT! in the last chorus, where he sings "tattooed on my heart are the words to your favorite song," he has a different inflection on the word "song."
That's possibly the only difference between the two versions.
It could be that Louis is so technical that he sings it completely similar to the studio version so it seems like a copy and paste and edit situation or they just used a different mix of that particular line.
Honestly, I'm leaning on the latter because the "s" sounds in the outro are completely the same in the acoustic version as it is in the original and that's such a small thing, but it's too obvious for me to ignore.
xx
major respect to Louis' favorite lyric in We Made It:
"Don't know why they put all of this on us when we're so young/Done a pretty good job"
--
my personal favorite lyric tho is:
"Share a single bed and tell each other what we dream about/Things we'd never say to someone else out loud"
but shoutout to
"Singing something poppy on the same 4 chords"
cuz that just made me laugh
You know what pisses me off most about this gif? Not the creepyass on-point synchronicity, no. It's the fact that I barely know anyone who says “thank you very much” not sarcastically. But they’re both so sincere and they make me angry. They deserve each other and I mean that in the worst way possible.
