Wilmot Works It Out is a puzzle building game about completing beautiful images and using them to decorate the walls of your house.
I had a really great time playing Wilmot Works It Out! Super cozy, lots of charm. One of my favorite parts of the 'campaign' mode was how you'd get a couple of pieces for future puzzles, making parsing which pieces you'd get to use later (and how they fit together) a smaller puzzle in-itself! The art for the puzzles is really cute, and everything in the atmosphere (the music, decoration, color-scheming) made for a really comfy vibe. Speaking of atmosphere, the unlocking of other rooms in the house (and decorations for them) helped make each new room feel more unique (even if I personally didn't take a lot of advantage of the system). I have small gripes with a few of the achievements, mostly related to sorting them by theme (with the exception of the Wilmot achievement, had fun playing 'Where's Wilmot' looking through everything. Maybe I would've enjoyed it with finding different characters rather than different themes). Marathon mode (NG+) was a blast! The introduction of new (albeit simpler) puzzles helped keep the 'puzzle separation' loop fresh, and helped things feel more cluttered/disorganized as I started (which made my later efforts to create a 'system' for puzzle distribution feel extremely satisfying. I loved the 'every puzzle is a physical object you plan around' element of the main campaign, and Marathon mode accentuates that by shuffling together the pieces of every puzzle you've encountered thus far). All-in-all, Wilmot Works It Out is an extremely satisfying puzzle game that lets you take your time and relax. Would recommend!
Reviewing Öoo!
A Bomb Caterpillar's Big Adventure! "Öoo" is a charming yet mysterious exploration puzzle platformer where you discover creative w
An adorable puzzle-platformer! The way this game takes its simple premise and shows great complexity (both in its solutions and its construction) makes for extremely satisfying puzzle-solving.
The art-style is simultaneously cute and simple (which is reflected really well on the 'easy-to-learn, hard-to-master' learning pattern the game presents). There are some really fun "I COULD DO THAT THE WHOLE TIME?!" moments (which I am a huge fan of). Overall, had an extremely good time playing Öoo. Would recommend!
