These savory party pies are a crowd-pleaser, combining the rich flavors of beef and crispy bacon in a flaky puff pastry shell. Perfect for parties or as a hearty snack!
Ingredients: 500g ground beef. 200g bacon, diced. 1 onion, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 cup frozen peas. 1/2 cup frozen corn kernels. 2 tablespoons tomato paste. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon dried thyme. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 sheets puff pastry. 1 egg, beaten for egg wash.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 200C 392F. Cook the chopped bacon in a skillet until it's crispy. Take out and place aside. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the same skillet. Simmer until the food is tender. Using a spoon, break up the ground beef as it cooks until it turns brown. Add the Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, tomato paste, salt, and pepper and stir. Incorporate the frozen peas, frozen corn, and cooked bacon. Cook for a few more minutes after thoroughly mixing. After taking the mixture off the stove, allow it to cool slightly. Depending on your preference, cut the puff pastry sheets into squares or circles. Spoon a portion of the beef and bacon mixture onto each pastry piece's upper half. Using a fork, seal the edges of the half-moon-shaped pastry formed by folding it over the filling. For a golden finish, brush the pies' tops with beaten egg. Pies should be placed on a baking sheet and baked for 20 to 25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown, in a preheated oven. Enjoy your hot, delectable Beef and Bacon Party Pies!
