This beef Mecca is a family business run by two brothers and is also associated with a future stop for the #sultansofsauce in Atkinson House of Pizza on 111. You roll up to what they refer to as #restaurantrow which is Plaistow road on 125 North heading to the Stateline and Costello’s hits you like a beacon of beef. The outside resembles a ski lodge or log cabin and the interior is stunning with skylights, brickwork, and some very comfortable booths & tables. This is Niko’s crown jewel-another beef entrepreneur who claims “the oven doesn’t stop all day” #toproundroastbeef #usdachoice all cooked in house by two Greek gods. Again- I digress, back to the beef. You order at a very impressive brick opening exposing all the action in the kitchen, they are a well oiled machine cranking out beefs and what seemed to be a lot of seafood. It was an older crowd on a late Thursday afternoon but everyone was smiling as they devoured there fried platters and beefs. It came out fresh off the slicer wrapped in foil and when I unveiled it, I shed a tear of james river dove right in. It was a phenomenal #onionroll that was griddled to perfection and the beef to james river ratio was just right. I never put the sandwich down and only slowed a few times to dip some of the last bites in small pools of #jamesriverbbqsauce - luckily they are right next to #haffners so I could hose myself down after a killer sandwich. When: 8/11/18, 11:30 AM | Where: Bella’s Roast Beef, North Andover Mass | What: Super Beef with heavy sauce and pickles ( toyed with getting the double decker ) | Weight: 8oz (double decker also 8 oz but no onion roll ) | Color: shark attack on a harbor seal | Rating: 4.7 BEEFS #beefaweekapproved | Tasting Notes: There has been a lot of chatter around the Beef community lately about this spot which sounds relatively new to North Andover. A little birdie told me the owners maybe sold a place in the city and then moved north to open this gem of a Beef Parlor, my guess is maybe they were #northendboston or #eastboston #italians as the menu also appears littered with Enzo’s Italian specialties but Let’s cut to the beef- I was so torn like Natalie Imbruglia between the super beef and the double decker but I had to go traditional for the first trip as the #onionrollpatrol was on duty. Enzo if you are out there could you do a super beef double decker on an onion roll for a fellow sultan? But back to the beef- it was superb, sliced to perfection and weighed out on a scale to a meatball shaped 8oz ball of heaven. The bun was sweetly grilled to perfection with the perfect kiss of butter to hold in all that beef, #jamesriverbbqsauce , and a bed of dill pickles for the perfect crunch. I can only hope that Bella is the namesake of his daughter, his wife, or perhaps his golden retriever as the beef certain was beautiful and worthy of the name Bella. Last week was all about the #irish with all the #cornedbeefsandwiches but this week we went the #italian route and had ourselves a beef at #dagostinosdeli in #arlington Sam the man runs the joint with his old man and slapped down a mean beef on a #bulkieroll and when he asked if I wanted the #jamesriverbbqsauce I knew that the JR was truly a global brand that could transcend cultures and ethnicities. Again some of our #sultansofsauce have a problem with the deli roast beef sandwich but sometimes it's nice to just relax and enjoy a delicious sandwich vs prepare for a bloody battle with a #sloppysuper - go check these guys out for a nice sub or sandwich #delistyleroastbeef #italianbeef #boarshead #pickles #wrapped #beefaweekAPPROVED
