Today has been an okay day (An Important message to everyone)
Some good and some bad things happened.
- Was my last day as a server at work, I start as a receptionist on Tuesday :)
- I got to work in an easy dining room with my best friend on my last day of work, so it was pretty nice. :)
- My little sister won a ribbon at the art show two of her pieces were featured in. I'm so proud! :)
- My dad is safe and okay (more to come in the bad)
- Cook disrespected me for a 3rd day in a row (but I'm done)
- Dad was in a car accident this morning. Car is more than likely totaled and we don't have collision insurance on it, so money is going to get even tighter than it was before
Continuation of good (Important message) :
- But on the plus, he is safe and unharmed, might just be sore, he was jostled pretty badly. He was legally driving through an intersection (the light was green for him) when a woman, who wasn't paying attention to the road ran the light. Had my dad not see her at the last second and floored the gas, he would be severally injured. He was in a little Taurus, and she was in a big SUV. She didn't even realize she had hit him until her car stopped moving forward ( >.< she was texting). Please, please, do not text and drive, and for everyone, drive defensively. My phone is generally in the back seat of my car, and if I need to use it, I pull over to the side of the road. Other peoples lives, as well as your own, are worth more the time it takes to send a text while operating a motor vehicle. This also goes for using a gps, those are just as distracting. If you need to adjust the route, or do anything besides just glance for less than the time it takes you to glance into your mirrors, pull over.
