He’s silent for a second, perhaps because this is a really good question - what is he going to do? Somehow he had just considered that his word is enough to make Josh change his mind, but clearly he’s wrong there. How far is he willing to go?

“I’ll tell them”, he finally chooses to say, hoping the hesitation isn’t evident in his voice because this is the only thing that sounds acceptable. “I tell them before you can do something stupid.”

Samantha let a soft sigh leave her lips as she looked over at Josh. “I wanted you to know what happened the night of Hannah, and Beth’s disapperance.” She frowned slightly her mind going back to the night it all happened. Shaking her head in the slightest way. “I tried to stop the prank but Jess, and Emily, and Mike they took it to far.”

He backs him into a corner, slamming both hands on either side of his friend’s shoulders, scowling deeply.

He hasn’t yelled at Josh with any seriousness in a long time, but this was the sort of situation that called for it.

                    “It doesn’t—we didn’t have to do that! I was trying to figure something else out, it can’t always just be one or the other, there—!”

His shoulders slumped, and his expression fell. The fist on his table unfurled, and he leaned his weight on it, bowing his head.

                                              “I refuse… to believe in black and white anymore, Josh. We didn’t have to do that.”
