Putting the finishing touches on this piece today. I like how the nose on this piece-it’s plastic and made by me-looks like the very real leather hide in the corner. This is a key interest of mine, can you tell what is real and what isn’t in nature (and everything is “nature”). This sort of interest in the real is a super academic bunch of stuff so it’ll be interesting to see how long it sticks around after I’m back in reality and out of the ivory. Yesterday would have been the opening of the @cranbrookartmuseum show.
