I soaked this corned beef in cold water and rubbed off all of the pickling spice. Then I dryed and seasoned heavily with black pepper and coriander. Then I braised it in a beer with a little liquid smoke at 250 for 2 hours before adding the veggies. After an hour I removed the cabbage and the beef tenting them. I turned the oven up to 350 and returned the rest of the vegetables for a half hour.
