          the   sudden   affection   from   queen   bee   confused   him.   the   motion   making   one   of   the   ears   twitch   (   despite   them   being   quite   fake   ).   he   laughs   off   the   confusion   though.   since   chloe   had   figured   out   his   identity   (   she   was   always   too   smart   for   her   own   good   ),   she   had   been   much   more   amicable   to   him   as   chat.  

          still,   he   returns   the   motion   with   a   pat   on   the   back   (   touching   her   hair   was   sure   to   be   a   dangerous   game   that   would   lose   him   one   of   his   nine   lives   ).  

          ❝    yeah   !   i   think   so   !   we   should   call   on   you   more   often   !   ❞    he   so   clearly   missed   the   smirk   toward   ladybug,   oblivious   as   ever.

she looked at her own blue nails boredly as she watched marinette awkwardly fiddle herself with adrien and once done , she bumped her hips on her gently before smirking. " Nice one , dupain-cheng, you obviously look normal in front of adriekins~ it's so funny to watch"

               chloe bumps her hip into hers and marinette frowns deeply. her eyes are almost set in a glare as she looks at her. chloe seems uninterested in anything but her misery right now. it isn’t like marinette doesn’t know how stupid she looks. she’s already well aware that she makes a fool of herself every time adrien is near her. why does chloe need to point it out? that was a rhetorical question. chloe is just plain mean.  ❝  what’s your problem today, chloe?  ❞  ugh. why does she even bother asking? chloe’s problem is marinette. all her friends know she’s totally head over heels for adrien. does... does chloe know, too? oh, no. please, please, please don’t know!! she could play it cool. totally cool. the coolest. like antarctica cool! she’s basically a penguin with how cool she could be. that.. sounded really stupid. she’s so glad she didn’t say it out loud. chloe would definitely make fun of her.  ❝  mind your own business...  ❞  she sits down at her desk and buries her face in her arms.

it wasn’t fair. the other acting as if any of this was a choice. his face shifts into a frown, and he glances away. adrien tightening his grip on his other arm. eyes flicker down and adrien can’t help the look that settles across his features. pure hurt at the other’s words being shot at him like a gun. 

“ ... your acting like i have a choice in this chloe. that’s not ... “ words didn’t want to work, and he bites back the feeling of tears that wanted to fall, but adrien attempted to refuse it. 

“ ... you should know better that i .... i want to stay, i want to. “

BEETCHING ASKED:  " Gosh, you stink like a Camembert ; are you sure it's your 'cat' and not you? "

          adrien simply gives chloe a look, a flicker of a frown spreading across his features. 

          “ listen, my cat has been whining at me all day about something new. it’s not my fault i had to spend hours at the stinkiest cheese shop in france, and i’ll have you know i usually smell delightful. “ he nudges her shoulder, teasing smirk at the corner of his lips.

          laughter   radiates   from   him,   glancing   toward   his   friend   with   a   raise   of   the   eyebrow   as   he   walked   alongside   her,   arms   swinging   at   his   side.  

          “   no,   i   don’t   think   that’s   how   that   works,   chloe.   “   while   faux   annoyance   coated   his   words,   amusement   was   the   constant   undertone.
