Beetle Fanfic Untitled To Come

Hi this is a BeetleLyds fanfic I’ve been working on for a while and I figured since the first bit matches the theme I would show a preview of it to go with @babes-week Day 4 Nightmares.  I gotta give a shout out to @smol-lydia because she has been the most awesome beta and has become a dear friend as well! Love ya girl.  We’re almost at the end so the fic should be out soon but for now here is a sneak peak. Enjoy everyone.  ~~~ She knew she would dream about what had happened.

Despite being strange and unusual, she wasn’t stupid. She was well aware that visions would haunt her after what had gone down. It had been a little over a year, but she still thought about it all the time.

She couldn’t escape the nightmares but she didn’t let her family know how much sleep she was losing. 

Her family could see it though. They could see the dark circles that slowly over time became permanent residents under her eyes. They could see the extra cans of caffeinated drinks in their recycling bins. They saw it all and desperately wanted to help. They offered all kinds of solutions. If she wanted to see someone, if she wanted to talk about it, if it was maybe best if they moved again but she always said no.

The only thing was the dreams, so if that was all that she had to deal with after the adventure they all had then she convinced herself that she would be alright. She would deal with the hallucinations by herself.

They would pass.

She was convinced she could do it. That was until the dreams began to change. They used to just be about mainly Junno and the endless abyss, but they took a turn lately. They weren’t just dreams anymore. They had gotten darker. 

She hadn’t prepared herself to deal with full blown night terrors.

~~ And that’s it. I know it’s not a lot and probably is leaving you with questions but they will be answered when the fanfic is fully out. Babes Week, Day 1: Firsts

When he came for her, it was swift and without warning. One moment, Lydia was hunched over her desk in her dorm room squinting over homework, the next she was wrapped up in red satin, ball gagged, and being forcibly walked down the aisle.

“Aww honey…” He murmured sympathetically down to her ashen, bewildered face once they reached the impromptu altar. “Ya didn’t forget about me, did ya? I’d love to hear all about how much you missed me, I really would doll, but considerin’ your history of backstabbin’, I think this,” one ragged claw tapped the shiny ballgag stuffed in her mouth, “is for the best.”

The vows were a short affair, what with Betelgeuse being the one doing all the talking. Lydia didn’t cry or struggle or try to shout beneath the gag. Part of her always knew he would be back to finish the deal, she just didn’t think it would be at three o’clock in the morning on a school night.

“I now pronounce you man and wife.”

No sandworms crashed through the ceiling. The gag in her mouth fell limp in the ground, but before she could think to use her words, a slimy tongue had taken its place. The world displaced around her, and she knew without needing to look that the mattress pressing into her back was not her own.

“Wait,” she gasped, cheeks burning, pushing up on broad, cold shoulders. “Hold on a minute‒”

“Uh uh.” He turned grim and serious, one of those large grimy hands plastering over her mouth in an instant so that he could take a break from molesting her to address her. “This ain't a negotiation, sugar tits. You owe me. I’mma let you talk, n’ I don’t wanna gag that pretty mouth cause I like the way you talk, but I will if I gotta.”

Mind racing, she spat out the only fact that seemed relevant, the only words that made sense in the wake of everything. “I’m a virgin.”

For a split second, confusion lit up his gaze, quickly to be replaced by a slow-growing, sleazy grin.

“Don’t worry. I’ll be gentle.”

Description: Here's a AU where Charles and Deila hear Lydia talking to herself constantly (she's talking to BJ) and Charles thinks she's losing her mind because she can't cope with losing Emily. Then for some reason when she gets in the asylum Beej isn't there! (I may play with this idea later in a story BC I like the idea)
