A genuine question for advice
I'm thinking about opening up commissions, but I don't know which payment method to use. I don't entirely trust Paypal considering that I've heard they have fees and a tendency to withhold funds from people. And I'm not sure I can afford that since I'm still skipping around for an actual job, even if part time. I've been thinking Venmo but I'm not entirely sure.
Any and all advice helps!! Thank you :)
before i do the piconell stuff i had some beetle doodles that i wanted to post after my last drawing
consider it a part 2 of sorts
I made some more fnf oc shit
tw for blood under the cut
welp time to give the people what they want
darnell post time
So first thing, it's very evident that he doesn't get much of a character. His main points are being extremely violent and seemingly wanting to watch the whole world burn quite literally.
While I don't think that's exactly out of the question in a way, I also don't think he would go out of his way to cause absolute chaos because he was bored. In Darnell plays with fire, he does what he does for a presentation, which is enough motivation for him and his adolescent self.
Darnell has other hobbies other than setting stuff on fire, which we actually do see in the Weekend 1 cutscene. On the wall, he's doing graffiti art, which heavily implies he likes to draw or some other art related hobby. Before fnf, Darnell's main bit was music, which is still nodded at in fnf with A-Bot being the speaker.
He really is a pretty lowkey guy who likes art and music.
Back tracking a bit, he is so autism coded it's not even funny. If the entire bit of his designated movie being about a presentation of his special interest isn't direct proof of that, I don't know what is. Also the fact that he's described as "hormonal". In some cases, people with autism are either very touch avoidant in certain areas or ways and others are not. Darnell, I think, is on the not so touch avoidant side, either sexually or not. I also think he's called that because it was an early 2000s way of saying "very emotional man". Darnell is more than likely an absolute crybaby (probably more prominent in his teen years) and we love that for him.
All of this to say, it's not because he is incapable of violence. He definitely is and has caused mass destruction on multiple occasions either with the intention of harm or not. But he isn't careless either, especially not towards his friends. Pico is his best friend, and it's implied that they have been for a very long time. Why would Darnell, for any reason, turn on a dime and go out of his way to genuinely kill his best friend when it would amount to literally nothing, especially after the fact.
I think he has a good amount of right to be upset with Pico, but I don't think Darnell is the kind of guy to hunt someone down because of petty scandals.
Also, if Pico were in genuine danger, you best believe that Darnell is willing to help him. Did he hesitate to help Pico in the Rock-Paper-Scissors roulette? Pico 2? Or any other game or movie involving the three? Didn't think so. He wouldn't just leave Pico to die because he can't get over himself, because that's not what kind of person he is. There's a lot of things that are happening on the inside, but not a lot on the outside, I think is the thing.
Darnell isn't black and white, none of them are. We just don't get to see a lot of it because 1. Darnell doesn't get that much content anyway and 2. I think it's just a lot of behind-the-scenes and not a lot of on screen stuff that we really get of him in terms of character and lore.
anyways
here you all are. feast on my ten cents of fictional characters
Pico and Beetle's relationship summary that no one asked for/hj
The two of them don't see eye to eye a lot of the time, having two different perspectives on certain events and how to go on about it. However. They still care about each other a lot and are often fussing over each other out of concern, which leads to them butting heads a lot of the time.
So they bicker a lot, but it's all in genuine care and it comes from a good place. Only sometimes those intentions don't shine through in the most obvious ways.
btw this is fnf timeline. before then was an entirely whole other can of worms and was endlessly more complicated.
